      SOLUTION: An upper opening part of a rice cooker body 11 whose upper surface is open is covered by a lid 12 openably/closably, and an inner pot 10 is detachably housed in the rice cooker body 11. An object to be cooked inside the inner pot 10 is heated by the optical heating means 13. Power distribution to the optical heating means 13 is controlled by the relay 14, and a driving means 15 to drive the relay 14 is controlled by a control means 16 so that heating to the object to be cooked is controlled. The on/off of internal contacts of the relay 14 is detected by an insulated contact detecting means 17 to be electrically insulated from the relay 14 for detection.
