    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electronic component having excellent temperature characteristic and electric characteristic.
      SOLUTION: The electronic component is provided with a substrate, a comb electrode formed on the upper surface of the substrate and a protection film covering the comb electrode and having a rugged shape on a top panel, and the substrate is a lithium niobate substrate. When it is defined that pitch width of each pitch of the comb electrode is p, the width of one electrode digit constituting the comb electrode is p1, width between electrode digits is p2, and the thickness of the comb electrode which is defined by height from the surface of the substrate up to the upper part of the comb electrode is h, h/(2×p)≥4.5% (provided that the relation of p1+p2=p is satisfied) is formed and the rugged shape of the protection film is controlled to become an optional shape in accordance with the thickness of an electrode film.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave resonator which is capable of restraining spurious resonance, and has a high Q value and a large amount of attenuation and to provide a surface acoustic wave filter and an antenna duplexer using the same.
      SOLUTION: The surface acoustic wave resonator of this invention is equipped with a substrate 1 of lithium niobate, at least, an interdigital electrode 2, which is provided on the upper surface of the substrate 1 and formed of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, and a protective film 4 which covers the interdigital electrode 2 and has a rugged surface. The cut angle of a rotation Y board of the substrate 1 is set at 0 to +25 degrees, and provided that the thickness of the interdigital electrode 2 and wavelength are represented by h and λ, normalized electrode thickness (h/λ) is set at 7.8 to 9.8%.
