      SOLUTION: A collector of a transistor 1 of a pair of transistors 1, 2 composing a differential pair is connected with an emitter of a transistor 3, and a collector of the transistor 2 is connected with an emitter of a transistor 4. A base of the transistor 1 is connected to a base of the transistor 4 through a capacitor 61, and a base of the transistor 2 is connected to a base of the transistor 3 through a capacitor 62. The bases of the transistors 3, 4 are connected to a power source 100 through respective impedance components 51, 52, and the collectors of the transistors 3, 4 are connected to the power source 100. The bases of the transistors 1, 2 are made to be a pair of differential input terminals, and the emitters of the transistors 3, 4 are made to be a pair of output terminals.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein characteristics are deteriorated by the generation of the difference in a parasitic component which is generated between quadrature phase signal lines in a mask layout through the use of conventional technique, concerning a polyphase filter which is to be used for the local signal phase correction of a mixer circuit, etc.
      SOLUTION: In a method for the layout of the polyphase filter to be formed on a semiconductor substrate, four resistances and four capacitors are arranged so as to respectively face two by two and to be linearly symmetric or point-symmetric, by holding the resistances between the capacitors. When the resistances, the capacitors, input terminals and output terminals are connected, point symmetry and line symmetry are obtained in a wiring layout. Also, a redundant part is added to the wiring, so that the parasitic capacities of the quadrature-phase signal wiring are made to be mutually substantially equal in the wiring layout. Accordingly, the polyphase filter of high performance is obtained with less characteristic deterioration caused by the deviation in the parasitic component.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable gain amplifier circuit for which a change in input/output impedance which appears when the gain changes can be corrected.
      SOLUTION: In the variable gain amplifier circuit, a function circuit having capacitance function is connected to the input terminal of a transistor 101 for signal amplification.
