      SOLUTION: This optical receiver comprises: a plurality of avalanche photo-diodes; a voltage generating unit; a plurality of variable resistors installed in series with the plurality of avalanche photo-diodes; a plurality of current detecting units for detecting current amounts of the plurality of avalanche photo-diodes; and a plurality of control units for controlling resistance amounts of the plurality of variable resistors in accordance with inputs from the current detecting units. Thus, the optical receiver which suppresses variation in amplification factors of the APDs can be accomplished.
