摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding contact material which is applicable to a commutator of a motor used for high capacity of ≥1A in initial starting current (IS), is very less in wear, and is satisfactory in durability. SOLUTION: In the sliding contact material obtained by dispersing metal oxide grains into an Ag alloy matrix, the Ag alloy matrix is made of an Ag alloy comprising 0.01 to 10.0 wt.% of one or more selected from Fe, Co, Ni and Cu in Ag, and, as a metal oxide, a Ta oxide is dispersed by 0.1 to 3.0 wt.%. Further, the metal oxide grains of one or more selected from Mg, Fe, Co, Ni and Zn of 0.1 to 10.0 wt.% may be dispersed therein.
