    • PURPOSE: To provide an electric connector terminal and an electric connector which secure a male terminal firmly which is fitted thereto. CONSTITUTION: A facing distance between a pair of contact parts 7 which are formed at top ends of a pair of contact beams 5 facing with each other is set to be smaller than a facing distance between each of fulcrums of a pair of the contact beams 5, and further a facing distance between a pair of the contact beams 5 at a point continuing to a pair of the contact parts 7 is getting narrower in proportion with when the point approaches the fulcrums of the base side from the top side. Moreover, each of a pair of the contact parts 7 are located in an inner side (in a center line side) of the line before fitting to a male terminal and in an outer side of the line after fitting to the male terminal, hereby the line being defined as a straight line which is parallel to the center line of a pair of the contact beams 5 and passes through a fulcrum 6 of each of a pair of the contact beams 5, and further more a terminal group consisting of a plurality of the electric connector terminals 1 uses the above- mentioned electric connector terminals 1 as electric connector terminals which are arranged side by side with a prescribed spacing and housed in a housing 9.

    • PURPOSE: To conduct connection operation with a single action, and prevent the damage of a conductor by providing an area where restoring operation is regulated in a contact arm so as to block the restoring operation in the middle of mounting. CONSTITUTION: In the case of the connection of the conductor of a board and the contact arm 6 contact portion 7 of a terminal 3, at a mounting start position the board is placed on the set face 12 of an actuator 10, the tip of the board abuts on the abutting face 21 of a rise wall 20. To the middle of insertion the apex 23 of the wall 20 hits an overhang area 25 provided on the bottom face 24 of the arm 6 for regulating the restoring operation of the arm 6 so that the restoring operation against the board is suppressed so as to block the contact of the contact portion to the conductor to reduce insertion force. When the arm 6 is further thrust in, the same is shifted to an area 26 where restoring force is granted, the contact portion 7 is brought into pressure contact on the connector of the board. Thereby, the board and a connector are electrically connected with a single action with ease, and simultaneously the contact portion in the middle of the mounting is prevented from rubbing the conductor so that the damage of the conductor can be prevented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a flat flexible cable capable of connecting the flat flexible cable with zero insertion force. SOLUTION: This connector comprises an insulating housing 10 with a cable receiving cavity 13 formed therein, a plurality of terminals 30 and 40 fitted horizontally at a predetermined pitch, and an actuator 50 for opening/closing the cable receiving cavity 13. Contact parts 36 of the terminal 30 and contact parts 45 of the terminal 40 are arranged at different positions in the longitudinal direction in a staggered pattern as a whole. When the actuator 50 is turned to the opening position, a turning support piece 37 of the terminal 30 is passed through a through hole 53 formed in the actuator 50 and extended to the forward side 11, the contact parts 45 are exposed outside, and the contact parts 36 form an insertion space 101 wider than the thickness T of the inserted flat flexible cable 100 above an upper part thereof. When the actuator 50 is closed, the actuator 50 presses the flat flexible cable 100 against the contact parts 36 and 45.
