摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent a plug from misfalling from an adapter, etc. CONSTITUTION:Engagement recessed parts 15 which engage the engagement projection parts 6a of a couple of spring type engagement pieces 6 which are provided successively on the left and right sides in the adapter 1 are recessed in a frame frame 7 on both sides. A knob 13 which has an opening part 14 and a guide part 16 for a couple of spring type engagement pieces 6 at the left and right edges of the opening part 14 is fitted onto the plug frame 6 slidably to both the left and right parts. Then a stopper 3 which stops the knob 13 and a ring 8 or the plug frame 7 from mutually sliding is interposed between the both.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of an optical connector owing to the reduction of the number of parts by providing no attaching member as another body and moreover using no sleeve holder. SOLUTION: In one embodiment, the optical connector is formed as a complete optical connector by mutually butting and connecting two optical adapter members having the entirely same shape and dimension. An optical plug part into which an optical plug is inserted, a plug locking piece for locking the optical plug to an optical plug part and a half slit sleeve housing part for aligning and holding the ferrule of the optical plug are provided in the inner part of the housing of the optical adapter member. Also, a cantilever shaped panel locking piece which is integrally formed with the housing is provided in the side surface of the housing. The optical plugs are mutually connected by the optical connector. In another embodiment, the optical plug is connected to a simple optical plug by using an internal housing and an external housing.

摘要： PURPOSE: To make it possible to prevent the failure of a sleeve generated at the time of inserting an optical connector into an optical adapter and to execute optical coupling with high reliability by adopting the constitution in which the front end of a ferrule is inserted into a sleeve in the state that the attitude of the ferrule is once controlled by an introducing wall. CONSTITUTION: A sleeve holder 13 is opened to a taper shape and is provided with the introducing wall 15 integral with an optical adapter body 11 within its opening side. The insertion attitude of the ferrule is so controlled as to be aligned to an axial direction by the introducing wall 15 when the ferrule of the optical connector is guided by the taper of a sleeve holder 13 and is advanced into the opening. Some inclination of the ferrule is permitted in this state but the inclination of the central axis of a through-hole 14 and the ferrule is made slight by the effect of the introducing wall 15 when the ferrule advances further into the inside and its front end is fitted into the sleeve 16. An excess stress is not applied on the opening end of the sleeve 16 in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction in this state and, therefore, the failure and breakage of the sleeve 16 do not arise.

On the other hand, the rear end face of the elastic light transmissive body 5 is formed as a slope 5b corresponding to the inclined joint surface 4f of the recessed part 4d.
