SOLUTION: A nose cutting edge 15 is formed in a nose part C in which cutting edges 14 at the ridge parts of a rake surface 12 which is the top surface of a polygonal planer tip body 11, and which is formed therein with a chip breaker 18 rising from the rake surface 12 and extending to the nose part C. The rake angle of the nose cutting edge 15 is gradually increased from the opposite ends 15A, 15B of the nose cutting edge 15 to a position on the bisectional line L of the nose part C, and a part of a breaker wall surface 20B of the chip breaker 18, which is opposed to the nose cutting edge 15, is formed therein with a first breaker wall 20a rising up from the rake surface 12B, and a second breaker wall 20b rising up from the first breaker wall 20a with a gradient smaller than that of the first breaker wall 20a.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely control the chip discharge direction and display excellent chip disposal performance under cutting conditions of a broad range from low cutting depth to high cutting depth. SOLUTION: This throw away tip comprises first, second and third breaker walls 21, 22 and 23 provided in a breaker groove formed between a corner section of the top face 11 of the tip and the center section. The first breaker wall 21 is formed into a curved face shape so that the radius R1 of curvature along a bisector L becomes larger than the radius R2 of curvature along the direction orthogonally crossing the bisector L, and the second breaker walls 22 comprise walls extending in parallel with a cutting edge 13 and an inclined wall, which lies in a row behind the parallel wall and extends gradually separated from the cutting edge 13 as approaching the center section. In addition, the third breaker wall 23 is arranged between a pair of the second breaker walls 22 opposing to each other from opposite side of the bisector L and is extended gradually separated from the cutting edge 13 as approaching the side of the center section from the side of a corner. The third breaker wall 23 is formed higher than the first and second breaker walls 21 and 22.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent chips from scattering around by installing a circular platelike chip guide plate, being installed so as to partially surround the circumference of a cutting edge part of an end mill projecting out of a tip opening part, in this tip opening part peripheral edge of a chip suction part. CONSTITUTION:Chips formed by a peripheral cutting edge part 4A and a tip cutting edge 4B of a cutting edge part 5 are guide by a chip guide plate 14 without scattering around from the peripheral space of the cutting edge part 5, and they are conducted toward the side of a tip opening part 23 of a chip suction part 13. Here, since this tip opening part 23 of this chip suction part 13 is made into negative pressure, the chips conducted hereat are drawn into a chip suction space 22. Further the chips are delivered to a chip storage space 19 as getting on a flow of air heading for the side of a base end formed in this chip suction space 22. On the other hand, with a space partitioned in and around the cutting edge part 5 of an end mill, in and around this cutting edge part 5, only the base end side to be interconnected to the chip suction space 22 is opened, but other directions come to a state of being almost blocked up.

CONSTITUTION:A cutting tip 50 is mounted on a point end internal peripheral part of a tool main unit 112 rotated about an axial line, a cover 46 for partitioning a cutting chip storage chamber 44 is provided rotatably about a tool axial line in the tool main unit 42, and a suction port 90 for connecting the cutting chip storage chamber 44 to the outside of the cover is formed in the cover 46. A jet port 84 opened toward a tool point end side is formed in a point end side part of the cover 4, a blow in port for connecting the inside of the jet port 84 to the cover outside is formed in the cover 4, and an air adjusting member 96 of protruding the point end part in a ring shape to a diametric direction inside of the cover 46 is provided capably of advancing/ retracting along an axial line direction of the cover 46, in the outside of the point end side part of the cover.
