摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the oxidation and combustion of coal and, at the same time, to improve the cooling efficiency, by first cooling heat-treated coal with a combustion exhaust gas having a low oxygen content and sprayed with water and then with air. CONSTITUTION:Heat-treated coal 2 obtd. by rapidly heating coal at about 300 deg.C is fed into a first cooler 1. A combustion exhaust gas 3 having a low oxygen content is sprayed with water 4 and is fed into the first cooler 1, thereby rapidly cooling the high-temp. coal 2 not only with sensible heat of the exhaust gas 3 but also by virtue of vaporization of water 4 in the form of mist contained in the gas 3. The optimal amt. of water 4 to be sprayed is about 20-50kg/ton of coal/temp. drop of 100 deg.C of the high-temp. coal. The coal 6 which has been cooled to a suitable temp. is fed into a second cooler 8. Air 9 of room temperature is fed into the second cooler 8 to allow the coal 6 to cool at a final temp. The cooled coal 11 is discharged and transferred to cool at a power station or the like.

摘要： PURPOSE:To cool dried coal without causing ignition of coal and occurrence of fire with high heat economy, by mixing and bringing finely divided dried coal of high temp. discharged from a drying device into contact with raw coal of room temp. and then cooling the mixture. CONSTITUTION:Dried finely divided coal of high temp. prepd. in a coal drying device is mixed with coarse raw coal before drying for heat exchange, thereby cooling the dried coal. The cooling is conducted by taking advantage of a property of raw coal before cooling such that the raw coal before drying has a temp. equal to an ambient temp. and contains water not only on the surface thereof but also within the coal and, therefore, has a capability of cooling high-temp. finely divided coal upon being brought into contact therewith. When the high-temp. finely divided coal is to be mixed and brought into contact with the raw coal of room temp., the amount of mixing and contact time of the raw coal is adjusted depending upon the properties (water content, temp., etc.) of the raw coal so that the temp. of the finely divided dried coal is lowered to 50 deg.C or below at which spontaneous ignition hardly occurs.
