In a site where the earth-water pressure from the ground G is higher, the inner tail 15 is removed and thick segments are assembled, thereby constructing a tunnel having a large lining thickness.

摘要： PURPOSE: To reduce a disposal amount of damped soil by a method wherein a segment manufacturing plant is built in attendance with excavation of a tunnel, by using soil damped during excavation of a vertical shaft and a tunnel, and a lining segment is molded by hydrothermal synthesis or sintering. CONSTITUTION: A segment manufacturing plant 30 is built in the vicinity of a vertical shaft 2 and a conveyor 22 to convey out damped soil and convey in a lining material is installed in the vertical shaft 2. By using soil generated during excavation of the vertical shaft 2 and excavation of a tunnel 3, damped soil is hardened by the manufacturing plant 30 through hydrothermal synthesis or sintering to mold segments 21 with which the wall surface of the tunnel 3 is covered. In this case, the molded segment 21 is carried in by a carrier 22 and a carrying truck 16. Further, the segment plant 30 is built not only on a ground but also in the vertical shaft 2 or the tunnel 3 in a case of a tunnel having a large section to shorten a carriage distance. This method and constitution reduces a disposal amount of damped soil by effectively utilizing damped soil.

摘要： PURPOSE:To simplify a power source of a shield excavator and a slurry feed, discharge facilities and reduce construction cost of a tunnel or the like by dividing the excavation part of an outer cylinder with a large number of cutter devices and decreasing the length of a protruding portion of the outer cylinder. CONSTITUTION:When a shield excavator 10 excavates a tunnel, excavation is performed by using an outer cylinder 20 and inner cylinder 30 alternately and cutter bodies 22 are rotated by a cutter device drive motor when the outer cylinder 20 excavates. And unexcavated soil beyond the reach of cutter devices 21 is treated by, for example, extending the stroke of the devices 21 to effect over cutting or by enlarging the diameter of the cutter bodies 22 to dispose them in partially lapped relationship. Consequently, the outer cylinder 20 rotates the bodies 22 by means of the cutter device drive motor and hence the motor can be made smaller. Accordingly, the thickness of a protruding portion of the cylinder 20 is reduced and cutting blade surface area of the outer cylinder 20 can be made nearly equal to that of the inner cylinder 30.
