摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a printing quality by uniformly distributing dampening water on the surface of a water fountain roll and preventing an adherence of the water to an ink roll or the like. SOLUTION: A dampening water supplying device for a printer comprises a spray nozzle 3 for discharging the dampening water toward the water fountain roll 20 rotating at a high speed, and a case 6 covering the nozzle 3 and preventing scattering of the water discharged from the nozzle 3 opened at the water fountain roll 20 side to its circumference. In this case, spreading water droplet capturing plates 1 for capturing the diffused water are arranged so as to be extended in a width direction of the roll 20 at a gap S therebetween at an upstream side and a downstream side of the water fountain roll in its rotating direction at an opening of the roll 20 side of the case 6. In this case, the gap S between both the spreading water droplet capturing plates is located at a front surface position of the nozzle 3.

Therefore, the thickness of ink films 6a, 7a, 8a, 9a attached to the doctor roll 2a can be made thicker.
