    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fuse a member to be processed in various conditions by using a laser.SOLUTION: A laser fusing machine for irradiating a member to be processed with a laser beam, and processing the member to be processed includes: a laser output device for outputting a multimode laser beam including at least a TEM00 mode and a TEM10 mode; a guide optical system for guiding the laser beam outputted from the laser output device; an irradiation head for guiding the laser beam outputted from the optical system, and irradiating the member to be processed with the laser beam; and a control device for controlling operation of the laser output device. The control device makes a laser beam be outputted from the laser output device at an output rate at which a peak beam intensity of a laser beam radiated to the member to be processed becomes equal to or over 500 W/mm, when the laser beam outputted from the laser output device is the TEM10 mode.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a photoelectric conversion device capable of preventing leakage of a current from an intermediate contact layer through an intermediate contact layer separation groove as much as possible.
      SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the photoelectric conversion device includes a step of depositing a top layer 91 whose main component is amorphous silicon, a step of depositing an intermediate contact layer 93 to be connected electrically and optically on the top layer 91, a step of removing the intermediate contact layer 93 by radiating pulse laser and for separating the intermediate contact layer 93 by forming an intermediate contact layer separation groove 14 that reaches the top layer 91, and a step of depositing a bottom layer 92 whose main component is microcrystal silicon and is connected electrically and optically, in the intermediate contact layer separation groove 14 as well as on the intermediate contact layer 93. The pulse laser whose pulse width is 10-750 ps is used for separating the intermediate contact layer 93.
