    • PURPOSE:To effectively perform desulfurizing for reducing the consumption of lime stone by a method wherein lime stone as a desulfurizing agent is supplied into a high temperature zone of 1000 deg.C or higher so that the lime stone releases CO2 and becomes porous, and the porous particles are supplied into an incinerator of a pressurized fluidized bed incinerator. CONSTITUTION:A high temperature zone of 1000 deg.C or higher is formed in a fluidized bed of a small fluidized bed incinerator 20, and lime stone particles are supplied from a hopper 8 into the fluidized bed. The lime stone particles are heated in the high temperature zone in the fluidized bed of the small fluidized bed incinerator 20. Therefore, the lime stone 30 is decomposed into CaO and CO2, releasing CO2, and turned into porous particles 31 having pores which are communicated to the outside. The porous particles 31 are fed into a fluidized bed of an incinerator 1, and SO2 32 and CO2 34 as well are absorbed by the CaO particles having a high specific surface area. The CaO particles are supplied after CO2 is separated in the small fluidized bed incinerator 20 of high temperature. Therefore, the CaO particles having a high specific surface area are capable of efficiently absorbing SO2 as well as CO2 without influence of a high partial pressure of CO2, so that effective desulfurizing and decarbonation can be performed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make required decisions appropriately and automatically in an operating process employing an additional refuse throw-in system by disposing a stirring means being driven through a suitable drive source in a primary combustion chamber and determining the timing when refuse is thrown in additionally and the timing when refuse is burn up based on a driving signal for the drive source. SOLUTION: Refuse, e.g. paper diaper, is thrown into a primary combustion chamber above a fire grate 1 and burnt by means of a burner 4 while being stirred through stirring vanes 55. Driving torque or current of a motor 51 for driving the stirring vanes 55 is measured by means of a measuring instrument 31. A measurement signal is subjected to AD conversion through an AD converter 36 and a deviation is operated by an operating unit 37 and compared with a reference level by a decision unit 38. If the deviation is lower than the reference level, a decision is made that the combustion state is stable and a lamp 39 designating 'refuse can be throw-in additionally' is lighted. Subsequently, a timer 35 interlocked with an additional throw-in switch 62, or the like, is operated and a decision is made that 'refuse has burnt up' upon elapsing a predetermined time.
