摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce remarkably a temperature difference in the thickness of a bottom tube plate upon the initial supply of water and prevent the breakage, deformation, craking due to thermal fatigue or the like of the bottom tube plate by providing a filler layers, consisting of a multitude of solid matters, on the bottom tube plate in a shell. CONSTITUTION:A filler layer 10, filled with the multitude of solid mattes such as steel balls or the like for example, is provided on the surface of a bottom tube plate 3b in a shell 1. The inner side of the shell is heated previously by high-temperature heat medium, flowing through tubes, therefore, water supplied into a heat exchange deprives heat from the filler layer 10 and the bottom tube plate 3b and is evaporated while the filler layer 10 precludes generated steam from being released from the bottom tube plate 3b as well as water from being supplied onto the upper surface of the bottom tube plate 3b, and a steam layer is formed easily on the upper surface of the bottom tube plate 3b. The steam layer serves as a large heat resistance. Filler, such as the steel balls or the like, precludes contact between the water and the bottom tube plate 3b as well as cooling from the upper surface of the same plate 3b and, as a result, a temperature difference in the direction of the thickness of the bottom tube plate 3b can be reduced remarkably.

A pipe 16' is inserted into the holes 18', and the strengthening welding 19' is applied. Water in the A' part is heated and vaporized, and is quickly discharged to the shell side 21 through the gas flow channels 20. As to the profile and size of the gas flow channels, rectangular, semi-circular or semi-elliptic form is desirable due to the imitations of the tool and the depth of the channels is suitable in the range of 0.1-3.0mm.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve grinding efficiency by arranging a grinder with the rotating shaft inclined towards a direction of the roller shaft line, and by either lifting or lowering a fitting frame in accordance with the change etc. of a roller diameter. CONSTITUTION:A grinder 3 s supported to an end of a holder 6 freely rotatably with a shaft 4 and a bearing 5 being interposed respectively. A whet stone 3 is fitted within a frame 9 with the shaft line of rotation OG of the whet stone 3 inclined at a set angle to a normal line of a work roll 1. Further, the frame 9 moves in a vertical direction by means of an elevator 16, with the frame supporter 13 making a reciprocating movement in a direction of the shaft line of the roll 1 along a guide channel 13e. By means of the mechanism, the whet stone 3 is either lifted or lowered by the elevator 16 so as it may be set at an optimum position for the roll 1. Further, the grinding work is feasible at an optimum position even if the roll diameter turns out to be smaller. Thus, by means of this method a grinding efficiency is improved.

Rise of pressure owing to the lubricating action of the fluid flowing the bearing gap 5 will cause a convex elastic deformation to the shell 1 easily because of the gap 6 to the chock 2, and the pressure distribution of the oil film expands both in the circumferential and axial directions, so that the maximum value for oil film pressure can be decreased.
