    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a uniform heating of an item to be heated and reduce an irregular heating as well as an irregular freezing by a method wherein a flat reflecting plate is arranged at a wall surface of a heating chamber in such a way that it is being oppositely faced against a central lower part of the heating chamber with an angle with the bottom surface of the heating chamber being more than 45 deg. and then a high-frequency wave is reflected from an electricity supplying port to the central lower part of the heating chamber. SOLUTION: A high-frequency wave 30 fed from a magnetron 3 passes through an electricity supplying port 4 and is fed into a heating chamber 1. A component of the high-frequency wave 30 fed out into the heating chamber 1 frequently advances in straight forward, so that almost of the component of the high-frequency wave 30 is incident to a flat reflecting plate 51 in the heating chamber 1, reflected by the flat reflecting plate 51 in a slant downward direction so as to radiate against a region near the center of the item to be heated 6 on a table 5. In this case, an inclination of the flat reflecting plate 51 against the bottom surface of the heating chamber 1 is set to be 45 deg. or more and almost the high-frequency wave 30 fed out of the electricity supplying port 4 into the heating chamber 1 can be radiated by the flat reflecting plate 52 through once reflection against the region near the central part of the item to be heated on the table 5, resulting in that a heating efficiency is improved.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge an effective space of a heating chamber by making a waveguide which transmits high frequency waves generated by a high frequency wave generator to the heating chamber opened at an approximately central portion of a lower portion of the heating chamber and setting the opening portion as a feed plane and mounting a pedestal for installing material to be heated made of a low dielectric material on the feed plane. SOLUTION: A rectangular waveguide 6 which transmits high frequency waves 7 generated by a high frequency wave generator 3 to a heating chamber 2 is disposed at a lower portion of the heating chamber 2, and a feed plane 8 which defines a boundary between the heating chamber 2 and the waveguide 6 is disposed at the center of the bottom portion of the heating chamber 2. On this feed plane 8, a pedestal 12 for installing a material 1 to be heated which is made of a low dielectric material is mounted. Furthermore, a physical quantity detecting means 4 which detects the weight, the shape or the like of the material, 1 to be heated is provided. Based on the result of detection, the high frequency generator 3 is controlled by control means 5. In this manner, by directly irradiating the high frequency wave from the central portion of the bottom surface of the material 1 to be heated, the lower portion of the material 1 to be heated is massively heated and hence, provided that the material 1 to be heated is a liquid, this liquid can be uniformly heated.
