摘要： PURPOSE:To polish a projecting-face shaped machined face with high accuracy by forming the machining board face of a machining board in which a magnetic fluid is sealed into a recessed face shape in accordance with the projecting face shape of the machined face and forming a rubber seat for sealing the magnetic fluid and a polisher into the same shape as the machining board face. CONSTITUTION:The curvature radius of a machining board 11A is the same as the approximate curvature radius of the machined face of a workpiece 38A and further, a film 13a for sealing in a magnetic fluid and a polisher 13b are also formed into the same shape as the machining board 11A. As a result, it can be prevented that part of machining pressure which is generated in the magnetic fluid 12 by giving magnetic field to the gap between electromagnetic iron cores 33 and 41 is consumed as the deformation resistance of the polisher 13b. Thereby, the projecting-face shaped machined face can be uniformed pressed by the pressure of the magnetic fluid 12 via the polisher 13b, enabling highly accurate polishing of the projecting-face shaped machined face of the workpiece 38 bonded to the bottom end of the electromagnetic iron core 33 by the polisher 13b by means of the rotation of the machining board 11A and the electromagnetic iron core 33.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable high precision finish to be applied to the shape and surface roughness of a brittle material in a turning process for obtaining the curved surface thereof by forming a conical shape on the cutting face of a diamond tip having a cutting edge of circular arc, and a negative angle at all cutting points. CONSTITUTION:In turning a curved surface, the cutting face A of a cutting tool is required to have a conical shape in order to keep a rake angle (theta) at a negative and constant angle in a circular cutting edge C and all cutting points. When a brittle material is turned to have a curved shape, using a diamond tip, 1a, therefore, the rake angle (theta) at all cutting points A becomes negative due to the conical shape of the cutting face A, thereby enabling the machining surface of a workpiece 3 to be finished with high precision in respect of both configuration accuracy and roughness. Consequently, it becomes possible to turn a brittle material such as Ge, ZnS and Si with high precision.

Next, and the film 4 is ground and polished to make it a mirror. Thereby a X ray reflecting mirror is obtained a which has no intercrystalline difference of the surface level and is ultra smooth and has high reflection coefficient and excels in thermal shock resistance and does not undergo SiC film peeling even when used for a long time.
