    • PURPOSE:To realize the measuement of temperature under an environment of a high electric and magnetic fields, by using a medium which varies its refractive index of light by the temperature. CONSTITUTION:The optical beam transmitted within a core of an optical fiber enters a core 8 in a temperature sensor. The refractive index of a medium 9 varies according to the change of temperature. Thus the ratio varies for the light going into the medium 9 from the core 8 according to the change of temperature. Accordingly, the attenuation given to the optical beam while it passes through the core 8 in a temperature sensor is decided by the temperature of the temperature sensor. The optical beam received the attenuation is transmitted through an optical fiber 10 and then converted 11 into the voltage proportional to the volume of light to measure the temperature.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for optical adjustment and make remote sensing possible by using optical fibers for optical transmission lines. CONSTITUTION:The exit light from a laser light source 1 is made incident to an optical fiber 14, is branched to two ways by a splitter 2, and is projected from microlenses 13 to the inside of an object 8 to be measured through two pieces of speed probes 10. The light scattered from the scattering particles 9 in fluid 8 is made incident via the lenses 13 into an optical fiber 11, and is transmitted to a photoelectric transducer 6, by which the scattered light receiving Doppler shift is heterodyne-detected. The detected frequency is supplied to a light receiver 7. Hence, from the output of the receiver 7, the speed of the fluid 8 is known.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a device which has a high precision and high sensitivity, by using a photofiber with micro lens as a measuring probe. CONSTITUTION:Light from a photo source 1 is fed to a photofiber 3 through a beam slitter 2. Much of light passing through the beam slitter 2 is fed to a photofiber probe 6 with micro lens consisting of a micro lens 7 and a photofiber 3a. The use of the photofiber probe 6 with micro lens permits the sharp improvement of a speed analysis capacity. Additionally, jetted beam is in parallel to a light axis, and thereby dispersion light from an object 5 to be measured can be collected more efficiently as compared with a probe consisting of only photofiber, which results in providing a device which has a high sensitivity.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an optical CT, an optical PT, and so on stable against disturbance such as oscillation, by splitting the light from the optical fiber into two by the beam splitter and by causing one divided light to pass through the polarizer and using it as the signal light and by using the other as the monitor light and by comparing and measuring them. CONSTITUTION:The light from light source 1 through optical fiber 2 and polarizer 3 is split into two by beam splitter 8, and one split light passes through electrooptical element 4, 1/4 wave-length plate 5, photodetector 6, and optical fiber 2 and is converted to an electric signal by light receiver 7. The other which passed through optical fiber 2 and attenuator 9 is converted to a monitor signal by light receiver 7, and the ratio of both signals is obtained by operator 10. Thus, even if the optical fiber and so on are affected by pressure and oscillation, the stable output which is not affected them is obtained. Consequently, this device is applied to the optical PT, the optical CT, and so on to improve their performance.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of life due to overheating of a heating resistance layer and to obtain a thermal recording head being excellent in an abrasion- proof property and a thermal efficiency, by a method wherein the heating resistance layer is adhered to a base through the medium of a heat insulation layer, and a heat radiant layer, while a protection layer protecting against oxidation and an abrasion- proof layer are adhered together in order onto said lamination. CONSTITUTION:A heating resistance layer 3, such as nitriding tantalum vacuum- deposit layer and the like, is adhered by a vacuum depositing method onto a base 1, such as ceramics and the like, through the medium of a heat insulation layer 2 made of a glass glaze layer and the like. Electrodes 4a and 4b, supplying electricity to the 2 heating resistance layers 3, are provided. A radiant heat layer 11, such as silicon carbide or aluminum oxide, is laid on the said laminateion, and a protection layer protecting against exidization, such as silicon dioxide, is then applied thereon. An abrasion-proof layer 6, such as silicon carbide and the like, is then adhered to the protection layer to obtain a thermal recording head 12. The head is used in combination of a heat-sensitive recording paper consisting of a coloring layer 8 and a base paper 9. A mark a represents a temperature distribution curve of the head 12 and a mark b that of a conventional head.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the light stationary attenuator having no effect of reflection on metal film by installing two optical fibers parallel, fixing them by epoxy resin and cutting the same diagonally then forming a metal film on one cut face and bonding the respective cut faces. CONSTITUTION:Two optical fibers 1, 2 are installed parallel and are fixed by means of epoxy resin 4. If these are cut diagonally with respect to the optical fibers 1, 2 like a cut face 5, then the end faces of the optical fibers 1, 2 may be readily cut at the same angle. After the polishing, a metal film is formed on the end face of one optical fiber and the both end faces are bonded. When, with the light stationary attenuator made in this way, light is entered from the optical fiber 1 into the optical fiber 2, the light reflected by the metal film 3 is prevented from entering the optical fiber 1 again and propagating in the optical fiber 1. Hence, by changing the film thickness of the metal film 3 suitably, the specified attenuation amount may be obtained without the effect of reflection on the metal film 3.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the life characteristic of a heat-sensitive head by making the structure of an electrode for electrification of three-layer composed of a grounding metal film, a conductor-metal film and a metal film with excellent adhesiveness to an acid-resistant layer and thereby increasing the adhesiveness between the electrode for electrification and the acidresistant layer. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 4 for electrification has a structure of three layers including a grounding metal film 4a, a conductor-metal film 4b and a metal film 4c with excellent adhesiveness. This electrode of three-layer construction is the same as that prepared by the existing method so far as a glaze layer 2 and a resistor 3 being formed on one surface of a substrate 1. In addition to the above, films of Cr-Au- Cr, for instance, are formed sequentially on the entire surface of the resistor 3 by using an electron beam evaporation device etc. and then, patterning being made by an ordinary photographing technique, the acid-resisant layer 5 and anti-abrasive layer 6 are formed as films by the spatter method and the like, thereby the electrode 4 for electrification being prepared.
