    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a complicated preset control, etc., and to improve the reliability of a rolling mill by providing a ramp generator and switching means on each rolling stand while a plate passing speed ratio set by a speed ratio setter is fixed. CONSTITUTION:When the plate passing speed is changed from a usual condition, first of all, a speed changing command signal S, and its switching timing T1 are inputted into a switching contact point 10 and a flip-flop circuit 12. Then the switching contact point 10 becomes on condition and the flip-flop 12 is set to make the switching contact point 11 on condition. Therefore, the signal to be inputted into the ramp generator 9 is exchanged from the speed reference signal S0 to the speed changing command signal S1 and the speed reference signal S3 from the switching contact point 11 is also switched from the speed reference signal S0 to the speed switching signal S2. Further, by the speed changing signal S2 from the ramp generator 9, the speed value of the speed reference signal S3 is changed to the speed value of the speed changing command signal S1 from the speed value of speed reference signal S0 and the plate passing speed is changed to an arbitrary speed.

    • PURPOSE:To make the change in rate of acceleration and deceleration easy, by changing an apparent time and variably adjusting the rate of acceleration and deceleration, through the change in a reference time integrated with a time counter. CONSTITUTION:A reference clock C from a reference clock generator 5 of an acceleration and deceleration adjusting device is inputted to a time counter 6, where a reference time is summed every time the clock C is inputted, and the elapsed time after the start of acceleration and deceleration is measured. The count value is applied to a driving device 3 via an acceleration and deceleration controller 4 and the rotating speed of a rolling mill roll 2 to a work 1 to be rolled is controlled at the device 3. In inputting an acceleration and deceleration rate change request signal (e) from the device 3 to a reference time set circuit 7, every time the clock C is inputted to the circuit 7, the rate of acceleration and deceleration designated at the signal (e) is summed or subtracted to sum a reference time t0 to the counter 6. The value of the reference time integrated at the counter 6 is changed to make the change in the rate of acceleration and deceleration easy.

On the other hand, the breadth deviation operator 6 operates the difference DELTAW between the detected breadth W and the reference breadth W*; then, the reference tension operator 10 operates the corrective amount DELTAT for the tension, from these values and above stated tension T, according to the formula. This DELTAT is inputted to the rotational speed operator 11, which then operates the corrective amount DELTAN for the rotational speed. The rotational speed control unit 12 controls the motor 8 so as to make the corrective amount to be DELTAN.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a motor controller for suppressing a slip by controlling the rotational speed of the motor, that is, the rotational speed of a roll when slip is generated between a strip and the roll. CONSTITUTION:When slip is generated between a strip 1 and a roll 2, a rotational speed signal NFBK increases, resulting in NFBK>NC. In this case, when the comparison difference N(=NFBK-NC) exceeds a certain value, a deadband 14 sends an output, a current reference compensation signal can be obtained through multiplycation of a certain gain G in the limiter and a new current reference signal IREF can be obtained by subtracting a current reference compensation signal, in the subtraction unit 17, from the current reference signal outputted from an arithmetic unit 12. As a result, the current to be applied to the motor 3 is reduced (becomes lower than a total mechanical loss), resulting in drop of the rotational speed. Since the rotational speed of the roll 2 is reduced, the slip can be controlled.

Consequently, the speed controller 6 decelerates rolling rolls 3 with the optimum deceleration ratio and the residual length LR of the rolling material 1 coiled on the unwinding reel 2 after completion of deceleration conforms nearly with the target length.

When the difference signal 5 is smaller than the reference value 71, the signal 2 of the current value is sent to the next stage as output signal 8 with the changeover unit 10. As a result, when a ripple exists in the output of the sensor, the preceding value is held while when no ripple exists, the instantaneous value thereof is obtained.
