    • PURPOSE: To provide a satisfactory outer appearance form by axially forming a notch on a constricted part formed between a suspension wire and a cable body which are integrally covered with a resin, and forming a nearly circular through-hole on both ends of the notch so as to communicate with them. CONSTITUTION: A slightly axially long cable body 3 is arranged in parallel to a suspension wire 2 in the slightly twisted state, and the both are integrally covered with a coating resin 4 to form an aerial cable 1. On a constricted part 5 formed on the resin thin part between the suspension wire 2 and the cable body 3, a notch 6 is formed in the cable axial direction in the state hardly having a width by means of a cutting blade such as cutter. Nearly circular through-holes 7 communicating with the notch 6 are formed with a relatively small aperture on both the ends by a punch. Since these are precisely formed, no chip is left. In such a cable 1, the cable body 3 is suspended in a catenary form to the suspension wire 2, and the notch 6 is deformed in arch to form an air slit 8.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a slit forming method for an overhead sagging cable whose neck parts can be left to every prescribed position in longitudinal direction even if there is difference among the reversely rotating pitches in longitudinal direction of the cable. CONSTITUTION:A cable main body 5 which has a similar cross-section shape to that of a gourd and is produced by connecting winding cable core parts 3 at neck parts and in which the cable core parts 3 swing and rotate reversely within a prescribed range of reversely rotating angle on the axial center of a linear supporting parts 2 in the cross-section as the cable goes further in the longitudinal direction is sent in the longitudinal direction and slits are formed in the neck parts of the cable main body 5 by a cutter 10. The reversely rotating angle of the center of the reversely rotating pitch P in the longitudinal direction of the cable core parts 3 is detected in the upper stream side of the cutter 10 and from the time when the detected reversely rotating angle becomes the same as the reversely rotating angle of a cable core part 3 before the cutter 10, slit formation at the neck parts is temporarily stopped to leave neck parts for every prescribed reversely rotating angle.
