    • PURPOSE:To reduce rejected products due to faulty performance by a method wherein a heat pipe is heated immediately before sealing the same to stagnate non-condensable substances, remaining in operating liquid, in the upper part of fine diametral section of the heat pipe and seal the fine dia-metral part of the same, which is lower than the non-condensable substances stagnating place. CONSTITUTION:Upon manufacturing a heat pipe H, the lower end of a pipe 1 is sealed at first, then, a fine diametral part 2 is provided at the upper part of the pipe 1 so as to permit press sealing of the lower part after stagnating gasified non-condensable substances. Next, a pipe attaching and/or detaching member 3 is attached to the fine diametral part 2 of the heat pipe H detachably and the same member 3 is attached to the pouring header of an operating liquid pouring device while the heat pipe H is evacuated and, thereafter, deaerated operating liquid is poured into the heat pipe under evacuated condition. Thereafter, the heat pipe H is heated to gasify fine amount of non- condensable substances remaining in the heat pipe to stagnate them in the upper part of the fine diametral part 2, then, the fine diametral part is sealed and, thus, the heat pipe H is manufactured.

    • PURPOSE:To provide excellent heat transporting amount and to facilitate degassing of operation liquid by employing silicon-containing compound having a special value or less of a freezing temperature and a special value or less of a standard boiling point as the liquid. CONSTITUTION:As operation liquid, liquidlike silicon-containing compound which has -20 deg.C or lower of a freezing temperature and 200 deg.C or lower of a standard boiling point, i.e., a boiling point at the atmospheric pressure of 760mmHg, is employed. If the freezing temperature exceeds -20 deg.C, it might not operate in winter or in a cold district, etc. On the other hand, if the standard boiling point exceeds 200 deg.C, an operation in an ordinary state becomes improper. The liquidlike silicon-containing compound has no problem of difficulty in degassing like perfluorocarbon, but has easy degassing in the same degree as water, fluorocarbon. Further, it has larger aggregation energy than that of the perfluorocarbon having extremely low polarity and low evaporation latent heat. As a result, a heat pipe made of it, has high heat input for abruptly increasing a thermal resistance such as 200W or more with excellent heat transporting amount.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the whole deformation strength of a plurality of radiating fins by extending each fin in a direction where each fin intersects a heat pipe and installing a reinforcing rod which connects a plurality of fins separated from the heat pipe respectively. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of radiating fins 3 are fixedly installed to an externally projecting part of each heat pipe 2. The plurality of radiating fins 3 are laid out in the longitudinal direction of the heat pipe 2 at intervals. They extend virtually at a right angle to the heat pipe 2 respectively. Each radiating fin 3 comprises a square-shaped plate. A plurality of fin portions 5 are coupled with parts 5 of the adjacent radiating fins 3 by a reinforcing rod 10. Each reinforcing rod 10 extends virtually in parallel to the eat pipe 2 so that the adjacent parts 5 of the radiating fins 3 are coupled by the common reinforcing rod 10. This construction makes it possible to prevent effectively the generation of vibration noise from the radiating fins or the fatigue of the radiating fins themselves. It is also possible to prevent the generation of cracks or slackening between the engaged sections of the heat pipe and the radiating fins.
