摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cover liquid brazing filler metal on a metal member and remove excessive liquid brazing filler metal.
SOLUTION: A metal member 1 is carried in by an air chuck unit 31, and set to a supporting bar 23. After the air chucking unit 31 is moved to a retracting position, the supporting bar 23 is lowered, and the metal member 1 is immersed in the liquid brazing filler metal 11 in a brazing filler metal tank 12. An air knife part 42 and an air nozzle part 43 are moved above the supporting bar 23. Liquid brazing filler metal is coated on the metal member 1 by applying ultrasonic vibration to the liquid brazing filler metal 11 and the metal member 1 via a diaphragm 52. The supporting bar 23 is elevated, the metal member 1 is moved to the air blow position, and excessive brazing filler metal and oxide are removed by blowing air from the air knife part 42 and the air nozzle part 43. After the air knife part 42 and the air nozzle part 43 are moved to the retracting position, the metal member 1 is held by the air chuck unit 31, and carried out from the supporting bar 23.

SOLUTION: A valve sheet (first metallic member) 3 and a cylinder head body (second metallic member) 2 are jointed. Three inclined faces, namely first to third jointing face parts 3a, 3b, and 3f are formed, having two square parts. It is preferable that an inclination angle of the first jointing face 3a is 30-40 deg., and that the inclination angle of the second jointing face 3b is 60-70 deg.. A brazing material layer, whose melting point is lower than those of the first metallic member 3 and the second metallic member 2 and which is composed of eutectic composition with the second metallic member 2, is formed on the jointing face of the first metallic member 3. The first metallic member 3 is composed of a Fe system, the second metallic member 2 is an Al system, and the brazing material is a Zn system.

SOLUTION: In a state of holding the tip part of an upper electrode 1 while closely abutting it on the surface of the inter-valve part 10a of the cylinder head 10, the surface part 10b of the inter-valve part 10a is locally heated to the m.p. or higher with both of the self-resistance-generated heat of the upper electrode 1 itself by electrically conducting between the upper electrode 1 and the cylinder head 10, and the contacting resistance-generated heat at the interface between the tip part of the upper electrode 1 and the cylinder head 10. Thereby, the remelting treatment is executed only to this surface part 10b without transferring the heat to the other portion. Further, the upper electrode 1 is abutted and held on the inter-valve part 10a at least till completing the solidification of the surface part 10b of the inter-valve part 10a due to the stop of electric conduction.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a cylinder head having stable and high joined strength in a short time while unnecessitating severe control of the joining condition, in the case of joining each valve seat with an opened peripheral ridge part of each port in the cylinder head body. SOLUTION: A brazing filler metal layer 7 is pre-formed on the joining surface part of the valve seat 3 through iron-side fused reacting layer 5 as a diffusion layer of a brazing filler metal (Zn-Al eutectic alloy) having lower m.p. than these of both of the cylinder head body 2 and the valve seat 3 and composed of the eutectic composition with the cylinder head body 2 (Al) and the valve seat 3. The liquid phase diffusion-joining of these valve seat 3 and cylinder head body 2, are executed through both fused reacting layers 5, 6 while forming the aluminum side fused reacting layer 6 as the diffusion layer between the brazing filler metal and the cylinder head body 2 so that the m.p. of the brazing filler metal is made high and discharging the molten brazing filler metal from the gap between the joining surface parts of both members 2, 3 by generating the heat and pressurizing according to the conduction of electricity between both members 2, 3.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent any fretting abrasion from occurring between the inner circumferential surface of a cam member and the outer circumferential surface of a shaft member by carburizing a camshaft blank after interposing a brazing material between both these surfaces and fitting them together. CONSTITUTION:A cam member 1, having a hollow part 1a piercing through in the axial direction is fitted in an outer circumference of a pipe-make shaft member 2 after interposing a brazing material 3 between an inner circumferential surface of the cam member 1 and an outer circumferential surface of the shaft member 2. Then, both side ends 1c in the axial direction of the camshaft 1 and the shaft member 2 are welded together and thereby a camshaft blank 5 is secured, and then this blank is carburized. With this cementation, the brazing material 3 is melted by heat at time of carburization and diffused in the axial direction, thus the inner circumferential surface of the cam member 1 and the outer circumferential surface of the shaft member 2 are joined together by means of brazing. Therefore any fretting abrasion between the inner circumferential surface of the cam member 1 and the outer circumferential surface of the shaft member 2 is preventable.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent an adverse effect due to heat contraction at time of welding from being extended up to a gear part as well as to keep off any deformation in this gear part by installing a melting preventive ring member, consisting of a heat resisting material, in the lower end position of a vertical wall of a notched step part of a transmission gear body in an extension line between a timing gear ring member and a weld zone. CONSTITUTION:A transmission gear body 1 and a timing gear member 11 both constitute a transmission gear 21 after fitting an inner circumferential part 11a of this timing gear ring member 11 in a vertical wall 4a of a notched step part 4 of the transmission gear body 1 and being welded by a high density energy beam out of the side of a cone part 2 of the body 1. In addition, it comes into contact with a ring notch part 22 and a ring recess part 23 and is provided with a melting preventive ring member 25 of circumferential two- piece constitution. Therefore any adverse effect due to heat contraction at time of welding is regulated, thus such a possible deformation that the gear part is drawn into the radial inward side is prevented.
