    • PURPOSE:To perform an efficient discharging of cigarette smoke out of a room by a method wherein air is discharged from an upper surface of a partition plate placed on a desk so as to form an upward directed air flow and an opening of a ventilating fan installed at a ceiling facing an interior of the room is oppositely faced against a discharging port arranged at the upper surface of the partition plate. CONSTITUTION:A partition plate 11 arranged between a pair of desks 10 is a hollow member, vertically placed on a floor and its upper end is projected more upwardly than top plates 12 of the desks 10. A fan 17 is arranged at the lower end within the partition plate 11 in correspondence with a suction port 13, air fed from the suction port 13 into the partition plate 11 is pressurized and then discharged out of a discharging port 14 upwardly. A ceiling is provided with a ventilating fan 20 having an opening 22 oppositely facing against the discharging port 14 of the partition plate 11. As one of the smoke sensors detects a cigarette smoke, the ventilating fan 20 and the 17 of the partition plate 11 are operated. With such an arrangement, it is possible to discharge the cigarette smoke out of the room during smoking.

    • PURPOSE:To enable an automatic changing of a set room temperature to be performed by a method wherein a control part is provided for judging in which mode cooling or heating operation is performed from a blown air temperature sensed by a blown air temperature sensor, adjusting blown quantities of hot air and cold air and automatically adjusting a room temperature to a set temperature. CONSTITUTION:A blown air temperature sensed by a blown air temperature sensor 7 is compared with a temperature set in a blown air setting unit 23 by a comparator 11. When the blown air temperature is more than a set temperature of the blown air temperature setting unit 23, it is judged that a heating operation is carried out: if it is less than the set temperature, it is judged that a cooling operation is performed. In case a changing-over switch 22 is changed over to an automatic temperature setting mode, an input of either one of a heating temperature setting unit 20a or a cooling temperature setting unit 20b is inputted by a selector circuit. In case of a heating operation in which the temperature is more than the set temperature, an output of the heating temperature setting unit 20a is inputted to the comparator 12. In turn, in case the temperature is less than the set temperature during its cooling action, the output of the cooling temperature setting unit 20b is inputted and a room temperature is automatically adjusted at the set temperature.
