    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separating method of a flat panel display device that resolves the problem of the need to separate a display panel and a chassis for the purpose of recycling, after removing deleterious materials such as lead contained in the display panel in order to recycle efficiently defects caused from a manufacturing process and a used PDP as resources.
      SOLUTION: The configuration of a separating device is such that separation becomes possible without impairing the shapes of both a display panel and an aluminum chassis by heating a flat panel display device from a display panel side using a hot plate, and having a process to separate the display panel from the chassis at a joining member. Preferably, the hot plate applies heat from the display panel side, its fixing method uses a vacuum adsorption process through a vacuum hole formed in the hot plate, and it is preferable to keep a temperatures at the joining member between 80°C and 200°C and to separate them by motion in a revolving direction taking one side as an axis.
