    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the smooth and stable rotation of a rotary polygon mirror by preventing galling or the like from occurring when fitting the rotary polygon mirror even if the fitting accuracy for fitting the rotary polygon mirror on the boss part of a rotor is made higher. SOLUTION: A lubricative film 15 is formed on the fitting face 13 of the rotary polygon mirror 6 or on the fitting face 14 of the boss part 7 of the rotor 3 by vacuum film-forming or the like. As a result, the galling or the like does not occur even if the fitting accuracy between the rotary polygon mirror 6 and the boss part 7 of the rotor 3 is made higher, and the effect of securing the rotation of the rotary polygon mirror 6 can be obtained. • PURPOSE:To shorten the rising time of a rotating speed and time up to stop by switching the connection of a winding formed of at least two or more coils per one phase in series or in parallel by a changeover switch according to the operating state. CONSTITUTION:A plurality (2 in the drawing) of coils U1, U2, V1, V2 and W1, W2 are connected through switches 1, 2;, 3, 4 and 5, 6 in 3 phases R-T to be controlled by a driving circuit 20. When the switches 1-6 are connected as shown, the coils U1-W2 are connected in series in the respective phases. When the switches 1-6 are connected to a contact oppositely to that as shown, the coils U1-W2 are connected in parallel in the respective phases. When the phase coils are connected in series, a large acceleration torque and a brake torque are generated. When the phase coils are connected in parallel, a high speed rotation is obtained. Thus, an efficient operation is performed by switching the phase coils in series or in parallel.
