      SOLUTION: The optical disk device is provided with: a first recording condition adjusting part for adjusting a recording condition parameter to be optimal with respect to an optical disk; a second recording condition adjusting part for adjusting a recording condition parameter to be optimal by using the output of a state change detection part as a trigger; an output characteristic storage part for storing the optimal recording condition parameter which is the output result of at least the first or second recording condition adjusting part; and an adjustment execution control part for controlling the execution of the recording condition parameter adjustment of each state changing time on the basis of the fluctuation amount of the optimal recording condition parameter in the state change stored in the output result storage part. A control range where the second recording condition adjustment is executed by the adjustment execution control part during each state change is made variable.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability in recording/reproduction by accurately detecting whether recording is made to a right track, even if balance is instantaneously and shifted by a large amount.
      SOLUTION: An optical disk device reads out address information from an optical disk having an intra track part which is formed between tracks and to which the address information is recorded. The optical disk device is provided with an optical head provided with first and second detectors which are divided in parallel to the track direction and outputs detected signals; an LPP detection difference computing circuit that receives the first and second detected signals outputted from the first and second, respectively, and makes the subtraction at a prescribed ratio to obtain LPP detection signals ; a timing signal generating circuit which outputs recorded information signal timing signals for removing recorded information signal residual noises in the LPP detection signals; and a switching circuit which replaces the parts, corresponding to the recorded information signal timing signals of the LPP detection signals at a prescribed level.
