    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage tank composed of a water pipe and a branch pipe connected with a hot-water tank, by vertically disposing a heat insulating material capable of receiving a lead wire in a storage groove, on a side face of the hot water storage tank, and covering both right and left sides of the heat insulating material by protective covers.
      SOLUTION: The central heat insulating material 13 capable of receiving the lead wire 14 in the storage groove 17, is vertically disposed on the side face of the hot water storage tank 5, and protective plates 15 made of a resin are placed on immediate right and left of the central heat insulating material 13, thus pipes can be prevented from being directly brought into contact with the side face of the hot water storage tank 5 in mounting and demounting the water pipe 6 and the branch pipe connected with the hot water storage tank 5 in performing the work by demounting only a front plate 7 in ordinary maintenance, and the hot water storage tank can be prevented from being damaged.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump type water heater preventing a ventilating path between a sound insulating plate and an air heat exchanger from being impeded by connection piping of a water heat exchanger disposed in an air blowing circuit.
      SOLUTION: This heat pump type water heater is provided with the sound insulating plate 11 partitioning the upper part of a base 20 supporting a bottom face; a compressor mounted on one side partitioned by the sound insulating plate 11; and the air blowing circuit 21 formed on the other side. The air heat exchanger 5, the water heat exchanger 4 and a blower fan 12 are mounted in the air blowing circuit 21, and connection piping 13, 14 connected respectively to water circulating piping (not shown) and refrigerant circulating piping (not shown) of the water heat exchanger 4 are drawn out to the front side of the compressor 3. The ventilating path at the part overlapping with the sound insulating plate 11, of the air heat exchanger 5 can be extended, and connection parts of the connection piping 13, 14 and water circulating and refrigerant circulating piping are disposed on the front side to improve brazing work in assembly and maintainability.
