摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of expensive E/O and O/E converters when data transmission and reception are performed between data transmitters through a transmission line composed of an optical fiber, and also to eliminate the noise radiated from the transmission line as the transmission rate increases even when an inexpensive metallic wire is used as the transmission line. SOLUTION: The transmitting section of each data transmitter is constituted of a preamble substituting section which substitutes a preamble with a fixed pattern, a mapping section which maps data into multivalued data, a first transmission frame constituting section which constitutes a second transmission frame by multiplexing the mapped multivalued data upon another, a digital filter which restricts the band of a frequency component contained in the second transmission frame, and a D/A converter which outputs the band-restricted second transmission frame by converting the frame into an analog frame. Therefore, the data transmitter radiates little noise even when the inexpensive metallic wire is used as the transmission line.

A recognition bit identification circuit 103 for reception packet at each station always monitors the surface of the transmission line 100 and reproduces the reception timing of a reception packet by detecting the bit for packet recognition from the idle state. Thus, by adding the bit for packet recognition to each packet, the reception timing can be exactly reproduced.
