    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manganese dry battery in which sealing between the zinc can and the sealing body by a sealer is improved and also the preservation performance is improved. SOLUTION: The manganese dry battery comprises a negative electrode zinc can for housing generating element, a sealing body which seals the opening portion of the zinc can and comprises a cylinder portion inserting a carbon rod in the central portion as well as an outer circumference cylinder portion contacting the inner face of the zinc can at the outer circumference, and a positive electrode terminal plate combined with the sealing body. And the top end of the outer circumference cylinder portion of the sealing body is tightened by the outer circumference of the positive electrode terminal plate and the bending portion at the opening edge of the zinc can. The bottom end outer face of the outer circumference cylinder portion of the sealing body is chamfered or rounded, and a sealer is filled at least in one part between the side face of the outer circumference cylinder portion of the sealing body and the zinc can and between the bottom end outer face of the outer circumference cylinder portion of the sealing body and the zinc can.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent increase of resistance between an output terminal and a lead member by working a rivet member insertion hole of the lead member into a protrusion beforehand and enabling the output terminal part of a battery to attain a closer rigid caulking state. CONSTITUTION:In a caulking connection member 13 for both a rivet member 7 and a lead member 12, a rivet member insertion hole of the lead member 12 is protrusively wrought in advance. Thereby since a shape of a caulking part of the rivet member 7 is caulked so as to fit in with a shape of the rivet member insertion hole of the lead member 12, an area of a contact part between the lead member 12 and the rivet member 7 enlarges. In addition to this, when the caulking work is performed with the rivet member 7, the rivet member insertion hole of the lead member 12 is caulked so as to bite into a rivet member insertion hole of a terminal assembly 10. As a result, in an output terminal part of a battery, a closer rigid caulking state can be attained and increase of resistance between the output terminal 8 and the lead member 12 can be prevented especially under a preservation condition of high temperature and high humidity.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cell superior in an anti-leakage property after discharging wherein an opposing area of an air electrode to a gel zinc negative electrode is made to be increased and a utilization factor of the negative electrode is improved by a gel electrolytic solution containing no zinc powder filled up in the cylindrical cell having a cylindrical air electrode. SOLUTION: It is possible to obtain a cylindrical air cell which contains no zinc powder, which is superior in discharging and also superior in leakage after discharging because the opposing area of the air electrode to the gel zinc negative electrode is increased and the utilization factor of the negative electrode is improved by the gel electrolytic solution 23 filled beforehand into a part opposing an inner side of a metal inner cap 17 inside a separator 8 constituted and inserted inside the cylindrical air electrode 4. In addition, the cylindrical air electrode of a three-layered structure consists of a catalytic layer 1, a current collector layer 2 and a water-repellent fluororesin porous membrane layer 3, and its lower part is inserted into a resin mold 19 coated with a sealer 18 and sealed by an positive electrode can 11 being pressurized.
