摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite dielectric having a small dielectric constant and a small dielectric dissipation factor. SOLUTION: In a millimeter wave band of a high frequency, a transmission loss in a micro strip line is increased in proportion to the dielectric constant, dielectric dissipation factor and frequency to be used of a substrate material. Therefore, to reduce the transmission loss in a high frequency band such as the millimeter wave band, a material having a smallest possible dielectric constant is required. The composite dielectric substrate has a micro hollow filler dispersed and mixed into a binder. With the particle size and filling amount of the micro hollow filler, an easy control is possible for easily achieving the substrate having a dielectric constant smaller than that of a conventional glass.

CONSTITUTION:A bed electrode 2 for compensating for conductivity is formed on a back glass base 1 and a spinel ferrite cathode 3 is formed thereon and an anode 4 is formed on a front glass base 6 in such a manner that it orthogonally intersects the cathode 3. The back glass base 1 and the front glass base 6 are laid one over the other via a partition wall 5 and the circumference of the bases is hermetically sealed by frit glass to form a discharge space 7 and after the space 7 is evacuated discharge gas such as Ne-Ar is introduced therein by several hundred torr. The spinel ferrite cathode 3 is fabricated by power baking method and does not release nor absorb oxygen even at high temperatures and so a stable discharge characteristic can be obtained at low power consumption without changing gas components sealed in the discharge space 7.
