    • PURPOSE:To lift up a heat diffusion plate upon igniting and reduce exhaust resistance, by a method wherein a heat response metal, such as a shape memory alloy, is employed for fixing the heat diffusion plate. CONSTITUTION:A heat diffusion plate 4, held by a coil 8 consisting of a heat response metal such as a shape memory alloy, is set above a flue 3. A shielding plate 5 is provided around the flue 3 and the heat diffusion plate 4. The coil 8 keeps contracted upon igniting since the exhaust gas of combustion is not generated and the temperature of the coil is in the condition of normal temperature, therefore, the heat diffusion plate 4 is lifted up. Accordingly, exhaust resistance is small and the exhaust gas of combustion is discharged smoothly, therefore, ignition may be effected silently without generating abnormal ignition sound, resonance sound and hissing sound. When the title boiler has become burning condition, the high-temperature exhaust gas of combustion is discharged through the flue 3. In this case, the coil 8 detects the temperature of the exhaust gas of combustion and is elongated, whereby the heat diffusion plate 4 descends and is positioned at a stationary position shown by dotted lines in a diagram. According to this method, the positional relations of the flue 3, the heat diffusion plate 4 and the shielding plate 5 are kept correct upon discharging the high-temperature exhaust gas of combustion, whereby the temperature distribution of exhaust gas may be uniform in accordance with an initial design.

CONSTITUTION:A can body 15 is formed with a waveform-shaped inner drum 13 surrounding a combustion chamber 18 and formed with a continuous uneven surface part, and an outer drum 14 situated outside the inner drum 13 with a space part 20 therebetween. A water feed pipe 11 mounted to the upper part of the can body 15 is provided at the inside with a water feed conduit 19 having a closed lower end and an opening part 19a in a position situated facing the recessed part, pointing to the outer drum side, of the inner drum 13. A water feed pipe 12 is mounted to the upper part of the can body 15. Water fed through the water feed pipe 11 during combustion is introduced in the can body 15 through a water feed conduit 19 installed in the water feed pipe 11. The introduced water outgoes through the opening part 19a of the water feed conduit 19. Since the water outgoing through the opening part 19a flows to the hot water feed pipe 12 at a sufficiently reduced speed, a high and stable temperature can be provided.

    • PURPOSE:To enable a temperature detector to always work well obtaining hot- water of high temperature and reducing water which is stirred and mixed with hot-water, by providing a water supply conduit where water fed into a water supply pipe is conducted to the lower part of a heat exchanger and providing a distributing device for feeding some of the fed water to the temperature detector. CONSTITUTION:During combustion of a boiler, water fed from a water supply pipe 6, as shown by arrows (c), (d), is separated into water (d) fed into a water supply conduit 8 and water (c) fed into a space 9 formed between the water supply pipe 6 and the water supply conduit 8. The water moving in the water supply conduit 8 is discharged through an opening 10 at the lower part of a heat exchanger 5. Hot-water of high temperature is obtained from a hot-water supply pipe 7. In the meantime, the water moving in the space 9 is agitated and mixed with hot water in the first header 3 of the heat exchanger 5. A temperature detector 11 always works well so that some of the water from the water supply pipe 6 can be fed to the detector 11 through the space 9.

    • PURPOSE:To maintain a vacuum destruction valve under a pressurized state for thereby avoiding an air mis-intake operation, by connecting a circulation pump with the primary side of heat-exchanger installed at the circulation circuit of heater and by providing the secondary side thereof with the vacuum destruction valve. CONSTITUTION:A hot water withdrawn by means of a circulation pump 6 through the outlet 3A of circulation circuit of heater 1 enters into the return port 4 of circulation circuit 3 via a heat-exchanger 7. The return port 4 is provided with a vacuum destruction valve 5, and the heater 1 and the heat-exchanger 7 are consistently maintained under a pressurized state to prevent the hot water from flowing reversely through an opening. If a negative pressure is imposed on the heater 1 in an event of tap being suspended, the vacuum destruction valve 5 provided at the return port 4 of circulation circuit 3 is caused to open for thereby withdrawing a fresh air therethrough. The fresh air thus withdrawn is communicated to a water feed pipe 2a, and thereby allowing the internal pressure of heater to get equilibrium with the atmospheric pressure momentarily.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent bath water from backward flowing into a water heater through a hole formed in a heat exchanger and from being sucked up and flowing backward into a service water pipe by setting the position of the water supply opening of the water heater, the position of the outlet port to a circulation circuit and the position of a vacuum breaker, at positions upper than the overflow surface of the bath. CONSTITUTION:The position of the water supply opening 17 of a water heater 14 is set at a position upper than the overflow surface A of a bath 21 by H1. Further, the position of a vacuum breaker 27 and the position of the outlet port 20a leading from the hot water supply opening 14 to the circulation circuit 20 are set at position higher than the overflow surface A of the bath 21 by H2. Since the heat exchanger 22 in an ordinary state is in a pressurized state, when there is a hole in the heat exchanger 22, hot water within the water heater 14 is pushed out into the bath 21 through the hole formed in the heat exchanger 22, and the bath water within the bath 21 does not flow backward into the water heater 14. Because a circulating pump 24 is on the inlet side of the heat exchanger 22 while the circulating pump 24, the heat exchanger 22 is pressurized by the circulating pump 24. When a hole is formed during the operation, the heat exchanger 22 is pressurized, bath water within the bath 21 does not flow backward into the water heater 14 through the hole formed in the heat exchanger 22.
