    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion controller for oil hot air heater in which convenience is enhanced without sacrifice of the feeling of heating by roughly indicating the combustible time after detecting oil supply thereby notifying the residual combustion time to a user without causing any trouble. SOLUTION: Residual time up to final indication is set longer than the indicating time after switching but shorter than the indicating time after switching to the final indication. Since a short combustible time can be notified to a user and the user can alter combustion when the heating load is varied due to variation in the condition of working environment after oil supply is detected, the feeling of heating is not damaged and the residual combustion time can be set optimally depending on the working conditions. Convenience is enhanced significantly by notifying the remaining fuel in the tank, and thereby the residual combustion time, to the user through an oil supply detecting/notifying means 23 without causing any trouble.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous detection during transient period of combustion when adhesion of tar is detected based on the temperature at a vaporizing section and the output from a frame rod. SOLUTION: A combustor comprises a vaporizing section 32 arranged with a chamber 37 for vaporizing fuel, a heater 42 for heating the vaporizing section 32, a nozzle 34 for ejecting vaporized gas, a burner section 44 for combusting vaporized gas, a first temperature detector 49 disposed closely to the inlet of the vaporization chamber 37, a second temperature detector 50 disposed at the vaporizing section 32 in the vicinity of the nozzle 34, a flame rod 47 for detecting flame current, a section 53 for operating the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of the vaporization chamber 37, means 48 for determining combustion state from the flame current, and a combustion operation control section 56 wherein combustion operation is controlled based on the outputs from the temperature operating section 53 and the combustion determining means 48 only when the combustion state is stable.
