    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient air conditioner by switching a voltage doubler rectifier circuit and a full wave rectification circuit according to a rotating speed of a compressor of an air conditioner, rotating the compressor by low voltage at low rotation time, and boosting voltage at high rotation time.
      SOLUTION: This air conditioner is provided with a SW 25 connected between one input end of a bridge rectifying circuit 16 and a junction of capacitors 17 and 18, a SW 26 connected between the other input end of the bridge rectifying circuit 16 and the junction of the capacitors 17 and 18 and a means for detecting the rotating speed of the compressor of the air conditioner, and is put in a full wave rectification mode by control of the SW 25 and the SW 26 at low rotation time by information on the rotating speed of this compressor, and is operated in a voltage doubler rectifier mode at high rotation time.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a heat pump type water heater for accurately determining the cause of a trouble by accurately displaying information for the occurrence of the trouble while suppressing pressure rise during the trouble. SOLUTION: The control device comprises a second switch means 13 provided on the single side of an AC line for switching on/off the AC line, a current limiting element 24 connected in parallel to the second switching means 13, a pressure switch 41 for switching on/off the pressure of refrigerant depending on its condition, and a switch shut-off means 42 connected to the second switch means 13 to be shut off through a circuit, not via a control part 20, for inputting a signal from the pressure switch 41 to the control part 20. A DC peak trouble due to the operation of the pressure switch 41 is determined as high pressure malfunction of a compressor, instead of the trouble, whereby the cause of the trouble is made clear to shorten a repairing time and reduce parts to be replaced.
