    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate whether or not an analyte test strip prepared to be used together with a test meter is suitable to be used together with the test meter.SOLUTION: An analyte test strip 100 includes a first insulating layer 102 and a conductive layer 104 disposed on the first insulating layer. The conductive layer includes at least one electrode portion and at least one electrical contact pad 112a, 112b, and the electrical contact pad is constituted so that an electrical connector pin of the test meter is moved along the electrical contact pad during insertion of the analyte test strip into the test meter. In addition, the electrical contact pad is in electrical communication with the electrode portion. The analyte test strip also includes at least one meter identification mechanism 116a, 116b, and the meter identification mechanism is disposed on the electrical contact pad such that the electrical connector pin of the test meter is moved across the meter identification mechanism during insertion of the analyte test strip into the test meter.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the conventional physiological sampling apparatus is complicated and is not easy to handle because of its complexity, which causes increase in production costs. SOLUTION: In the apparatus, a system and a method for puncturing the skin, accessing and collecting a physiological sample in the relevant skin and measuring characteristics of the physiological sample such as concentration of a specific component in the collected physiological sample, for example, the apparatus adopts a form of an examination slice apparatus including a bio-sensor and at least one skin puncturing element which is a planar expanded part provided in a part of the bio-sensor. At least one flow passage is present within a part of the bio-sensor and within the skin puncturing element. The skin puncturing element internally has a space specification structure, and the structure operates as an area for storing a sample fluid when puncturing the skin.
