    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which an α-sulfofatty acid alkyl ester salt excellent in a color tone can be produced using a falling-film reactor.
      SOLUTION: The method comprises a sulfonation process for sulfonating a fatty acid alkyl ester containing ≤0.5 mass% glycerol and its derivatives under a condition in which a coloring suppressant is absent by using the falling-film reactor, an aging process for carrying out an aging treatment by bringing the product prepared in the sulfonation process to contact with the coloring suppressant hardly soluble in the fatty acid alkyl ester in 0.1-10 mass% of the product within 30 minutes from discharge of the product from the falling-film reactor, an esterification process for esterifying the product prepared in the aging process using a 1-6C alcohol, a neutralization process for neutralizing the product prepared in the esterification process and a bleaching process for bleaching the product prepared in the neutralization process.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition having improved color tone and high concentration economically in high yield by mixing a concentrated paste of a surfactant containing an anionic surfactant with an alkali builder, an aluminosilicate and a fluorescent brighter by a prescribed method and granulating. CONSTITUTION:The total of a granular material obtained by blending and granulating is 100wt.%. When (A) 20-70wt.% of a concentrated paste of a surfactant which contains an anionic surfactant (preferably sulfuric ester salt type or sulfonate type) and has >=60% surfactant concentration is mixed with (B) 15-60wt.% of an alkali builder containing a salt (e.g. potassium carbonate) of carbonic acid (hydrogen) and potassium and (C) 5-50wt.% of an aluminosilicate, (D) 0-01-4wt.% of a fluorescent brighter (e.g. compound of the formula) is added to the mixture or the component D is previously added to the component A and the resulting substance is mixed and granulated to give the objective composition. Preferably the component D is dissolved or dispersed into the component A, premixed and then blended with the components B and C and granulated.
