SOLUTION: This holder comprises a fixing member 2 for fixing the holder to a lintel, a shelf, etc., and a holder member 3 for supporting a pole P freely rotatably fitted to the member 2. The member 3 is a belt-like body made of a soft resin, which is provided with an engaging port 10 at one end and has a plurality of pawl-like projections 11, which is to be inserted to the port 10 to be engaged with its end part, at the other end. Further, the member 2 is U-shaped and its lower opposed piece 5 is made freely slidable by the screw mechanism of a fastening screw 7. Since a fixing screw is not required for fitting the pole, a fitting object is never flawed. Further, since the member 3 is rotated, the pole can be fitted reliably though the fitting position of the part 2 is deviated a little. This holder copes with most of thickness of a board by adjusting the fastening screw and is fixed reliably.
