摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate capable of materializing uniform luminance as a whole without causing increase of a cost, and a surface light source body equipped with the light guide plate.
SOLUTION: A backlight 10 is equipped with the flat and rectangular light guide plate 1 and a plurality of light emitting diodes 2 disposed by making them face the one side face (light entering end face) of the light guide plate 1 as a light source. Three cut parts 1a each forming a circular arc shape are formed on one side face of the long side of the light guide plate 1. The light emitting diodes 2 are disposed face to face with the cut parts 1a of the light guide plate 1, the center line in its width direction is brought in line with the center axis of the cut part 1a, and its light emitting surface is flush with the side face of the light guide plate 1. Light emitted from the light emitting diodes 2 is dispersed by the cut parts 1a, and luminance in the whole area of the light guide plate 1 becomes uniform.
