    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce flow resistance of a gas hole formed on a valve element.
      SOLUTION: The gas hole 31 is formed to have an oval shape long in the bending inner and outer directions. The gas hole 31 is divided into three portions of an inner portion 31A, a central portion 31B and an outer portion 31C, in the bending inner and outer directions. When a virtual gas hole 31' having a circular cross section with the same flowing area as that of the gas hole 31 is similarly divided into three portions, a ratio of the flow passage area of the outer portion 31C to that of the central portion 31B is set larger than a ratio of the flow passage area of an outer portion to that of a central portion of the virtual gas hole 31'.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cock which can be prevented from enlargement and moreover can be assembled easily.
      SOLUTION: The gas cock is characterized in that a handle 3 forms a horizontal hole 38 extending from its periphery to the inside, and an inner hole 39 extending coaxially to the horizontal hole 38 from a bottom face of this horizontal hole 38. The horizontal hole 38 is provided with a lock pin 4 which prevents the handle 3 from rotating from a closing position to an opening position when positioned at a sealing position. The inner hole 39 is provided with an engaging shaft 5 which regulates a rotating region of the handle 3 between the closing position and the opening position. The engaging shaft 5 is an independent member with respect to the lock pin 4, and the engaging shaft 5 is fixed in insertion to the inner hole 39 through the horizontal hole 38 after the handle 3 is connected to a tap body 1 and a valve body 2 before the lock pin 4 is inserted into the horizontal hole 38.
