    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wire gathering/separation caused by the surface tension of cooling liquids adhered partially to many wires, in a multi-wire saw. SOLUTION: The multi-wire saw 1 cuts a workpiece 4 into many thin wafers 5 by bringing the traveling many wires 3 into contact with the workpiece 4 while supplying the cooling liquids 7 to the wires 3 with many fixed abrasive grains parallel at prescribed pitch.
