    • PURPOSE: To achieve an increase in strength, environment protection and a reduction in a manufacturing cost by constituting a fiber plate of a mat comprising binder-added pulp and reinforcing sheet bodies, whose tensile strength is larger than that of mats, which are laminated on the above described mat. CONSTITUTION: For a fiber plate M9, a binder B is added into fiber-dissolved pulp, wherein a small piece of a fiber obtained by cutting waste paper into a specified size is dissolved, the pulp is compressed and formed into a mat shape, and a mat M5 is obtained. Reinforcing sheets S, whose tensile strength is larger than that of the mat M5, are laminated. The binder B is sprayed, compression is performed under the heated state and cutting is performed. Thus, the fiber plate M9 is obtained. The mat M5 is made to form the unitary body under the state, wherein the mat M5 is held between a pair of the reinforcing sheet bodies S by the adhesion and solidification of the binder B, which is uniformly mixed in the fiber-dissolved pulp, the binder B, which is applied on the surface of the mat M5, and the binder B, which is sprayed on the surface of the reinforcing sheet bodies S. The solidified mat M5 is covered with the reinforcing sheet bodies 3 having a large tensile strength. Therefore, the strength of the surface of the fiber plate M9 becomes especially large.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the heat exchanger efficiency of the titled heat exchanger by a method wherein a heat transfer fine layer is provided adjacent a heat pipe layer so that the flow direction of a low temperature fluid and that of a high temperature fluid flows at right angle to the axis of each of heat pipes forming the heat pipe layer. CONSTITUTION:The flat heat pipes 11 are arranged parallel to one another so as to form the heat pipe layer 12 and the heat transfer fin layer 15 having low temperature fluid passages 16a and low temperature fluid passages 16b separated from the formers by a partition plate 14 is arranged adjacent the heat pipe layer 12. Further, the heat transfer fins 13a and 13b forming the heat transfer fin layer 15 are arranged in such a manner that the flow directions of the flow and high temperature fluids become normal to the axis of each of the heat pipes 11. Then the heat pipes 11 are incorporated into the heat exchanger so as to make use of the advantages of both the heat pipes and the fins. As a consequence, it is possible to obtain the orthogonal cross-flow type heat exchanger which has a small pressure loss and which is small-sized.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent leakage by a method wherein side frames, closing the one sides of wavy fins, are made by an integral plate member and a plurality of grooves are cut in parallel at the insides thereof while the ends of the plates are inserted into each grooves to close the one sides of the wavy fins. CONSTITUTION:The heat exchanger 5 consists of the fins 7a-7c flowing fluids A-C, for example, into arrow sign directions 6, 8, 9 and the plates 10 partitioning in parallel between respective fins, which are laminated alternately into the shape of a core while the end of each plates 10 is inserted into the grooves of the side plates 11, 11. Accordingly, shiftings of the plates 10 into the arrow sign direction 13 are restricted, and the distances 1 of the grooves are the same as the thicknesses of the fins 7a-7c, therefore, when they are brazed by means of dip brazing or the like, the brazing solder arrives at respective minute clearances sufficiently and the seal of the ends of the fins become perfect, thereby preventing the leakage of the internal fluid and strains due to a thermal stress. Thus, a high safety may be guaranteed when the device is utilized for the heat exchanger handling radioactive substances, hydrogen or the like.
