    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monolithic refractory which is dried highly efficiently by microwave drying, has corrosion resistance inherent in an alumina-magnesia material, and hence is very effective in improving the furnace operation rate by application time shortening/lining life extension and the like, reducing standard physical units of refractory, and decreasing the number of times of repairing a lining, and so on. SOLUTION: The alumina-magnesia monolithic refractory for microwave drying is dried by the irradiation with a microwave after slip casting application and contains a refractory material mainly comprising a magnesia raw material and an alumina raw material, a binder, and a dispersant.
