    • PURPOSE:To prevent the outflow of a filter material to a water collecting trough by providing an inclined perforated plate to the outside of the overflow wall of the water collecting trough along the overflow wall and providing a barrier plate whose inclination is reverse to that of the perforated plate from the part under the bottom of the water collecting trough to the part under the perforated plate. CONSTITUTION:A filter bed 2 packet with a filter material is provided in a filter tower 1 and bacteria are held to the filter bed 2 and raw water is passed through the filter bed 2, as an ascending current along with oxygen-containing gas, and filtered treated water is allowed to overflow to the water collecting trough 5 having an overflow wall 6 provided to the upper part in the tower 1. An inclined perforated plate 7, slopping down toward the overflow wall 6 and reaching the part under the bottom of the water collecting trough 5 at the lower end part thereof, is provided outside the overflow wall 6 of the water collecting trough 5 along the overflow wall 6. Further, a barrier plate 7 whose inclination is reverse to that of the perforated plate 7 is provided, from the part under the bottom of the water collecting trough 5 to the part under the perforated plate 7 so as to hold an interval from the lower end of the perforated plate 7. As a result, it can be effectively prevented that the filter material constituting the filter bed flows out to the water collecting trough during operation, and economical efficiency and workability are enhanced.

A control apparatus 17 controls the injection amount of ozone on the basis of the calibration curve showing the relation between the injection amount of ozone and the concn. of dissolved ozone or the concn. of exhaust ozone prepared at every constant K1.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the ozone absorbing efficiency of water to be treated by providing a packed bed under the water sprinkling device in a contact tank receiving ozone gas from the lower part thereof so as to position the same above the surface of the water. CONSTITUTION:A packed bed 11 is provided under a distributor 2 so as to be positioned above the surface of the water in a contact tank 1. The packed bed 11 is constituted of the packing material placed on a porous support plate 12. The water to be treated sprinkled from the distributor 2 flows down through the packed bed 11 to come into contact with the ozone gas rising through the packed bed 11 to absorb the ozone gas, and subsequently flows downward under the surface of the water to further come into contact with the ozone gas countercurrently to further absorb the ozone gas. The treated water having ozone absorbed therein enters a reaction tank 8 from a communication port 9 and flows upward to be discharged from an overflow port 10. Further, the water in the contact tank 1 is partitioned into many small sections by an accumulated body of grid bodies or honeycomb cylinders opened in up-and-down directions and, by arranging air diffusing spheres 3 to the lower parts of the centers of the respective small sections, water to be treated flowing downward is converted to plug streams and ozone absorbing efficiency can further be enhanced.

    • PURPOSE:To make contamination of a filtrate side extremely little and to enable exchanging of a membrane element by integrally bonding and fixing both a hollow yarn membrane part and a cap body forming a flow path of filtrate into one body. CONSTITUTION:Hollow yarn membranes 7 are bundled nearly straightly and both ends are fixed, and the end faces of the membranes 7 in a fixing part 4 side are opened and the end faces of the membranes 7 in a fixing part 5 side sealed. A cap body 3 having a filtrate outlet 9 and a flange 10 is liquid- tightly bonded to the fixing part 4 and both fixing parts 4, 5 are fixed to both end parts of a perforated rigid cylindrical body 6 and thereby a membrane element 1 is formed. A hollow yarn membrane module is manufactured by fitting the membrane element to a housing 2 having a flange 11 supporting the cap body 3, a water supply inlet 8 and a water supply outlet 13 and fixing the flanges 10, 11 via a sealing member 12 and integrating them into one body. By such a way, contamination of the contact face of filtrate at a time for manufacturing the module can be prevented and the membrane module can be easily exchanged.

    • PURPOSE:To permit efficient drawing of water according to the constitution ratio of cations and anions of raw water by using an ion exchange device of a 2-bed 1-column type using an anion exchange resin and mixed bed type ion exchange resin. CONSTITUTION:The inside of an ion exchange column 20 is segmented to two chambers by a partition wall 23 with a strainer 31. A raw water supplying port 21 is provided to one chamber 24 and a treated water discharge port 22 is provided to the other chamber 25. The anion exchange resin A is packed into the one chamber 24. The cation exchange resin and anion exchange resin are packed into the other chamber 25 as the mixed bed type. More specifically, the total resin amt. can be determined as desired in conformity with the load constitution ratio of the cations and anions of the raw water and therefore, the efficient drawing of the water is made possible; in addition, the constant water quality operation by controlling the specific resistance of the treated water is executed. Since the device is constituted as the 1-column 2-bed type, the size of the device is reduced and the floor area and initial cost are reduced.
