    • PURPOSE: To perform the removal of phosphorus stably with good efficiency, by regenerating a phosphorus adsorbent lowered in its activity through the contact with an alkali solution and bringing this regenerated waste solution into contact with a crystal seed lowered in its activity to re-activate said crystal seed.
      CONSTITUTION: Waster containing phosphate and a chromaticity component is brought into contact with a crystal seed containing calcium phosphate in the presence of a calcium ion at pH 6 or more and further brought into contact with a phosphorus adsorbent to remove phosphate in water. In this case, the phosphorus adsorbent lowered in its activity is regenerated through the contact with an alkali solution and the regenerated waste liquid obtained by the regeneration is brought into contact with the activity lowered crystal seed to reactivate said crystal seed. As the alkali agent of the alkali solution used in the activation of the phosphorus adsorbent, there is especially no limit but the one containing no calcium ion such as NaOH or KOH is pref.
