    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutron beam shield structure which is attached to an aperture formed on a wall of a room in which a beam dump device is installed, is easily attached or disassembled, and is capable of effectively reducing leakage of radiation to the outside of the room.SOLUTION: A neutron beam shiel structure 10 includes: an indoor side concrete part 11 which is formed of low activation concrete and attached to the indoor side; an outdoor side concrete part 12 which is configured by laminating tabular concrete members 121 to 128 formed of normal concrete in a direction from the indoor side to the outdoor side an attached to the outdoor side; and a boron-containing sheet 13 formed so as to be held between the indoor side concrete part 11 and the outdoor side concrete part 12. The neutron beam shield structure 10 has such a shape that a width-direction dimension and a height-direction dimension are gradually increased in a direction from the indoor side to the outdoor side. The neutron beam shield structure 10 is attached to an aperture 4 formed on the rear side of a beam dump device of an accelerator room shield wall 1.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure of a beam dump device capable of efficiently cool a dumping target with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: Main beam rods 11a, 11a of a floor 11 and a wall 12 of a building 10 at which beam dump devices 30 are installed and the main beam rods 12a are respectively joined to each other by joining steel wires 11b, 12b, furthermore cooling fins 13 are embedded into concrete of the floor 11, and the other end sides of coupling reinforcing bars 11j, 13j of which one end protrudes in the building 10 from the floor 11 are mounted on the main reinforcing bar 11a and the cooling fins 13 by welding or the like. These reinforcing bars 11j, 13j, and a cooling member 32 obtained by laminating pure iron plates 32P to support a dumping target 31 are coupled with flexible members 31 so that heat generated at the dumping target 31 by collision of charged particles has been dissipated.
