SOLUTION: In the columnar bodies, both columnar bodies A1, A2 are constituted in a connectable manner under the state of slipping-off prevention by internally fitting the shaft section 3 of the other columnar body A2 into the cylinder section 1 of one columnar body A1 and fitting a key member 13 extending over the groove section 6 of the cylinder section 1 and the groove section 11 of the shaft section 3, a space 15 for sealing for disposing a seal member 16 obstructing the infiltration of water into the groove section 6 of the cylinder section 1 and the groove section 1 of the shaft section 3 is configured so as to be formed between both columnar bodies A1, A2, the external side faces of both columnar bodies A1, A2 are covered with waterproof covering layers for the sealing preventing the infiltration of water into both groove sections 6, 11, and rustproof working is executed on the surfaces of both groove sections 6, 11 and the surface of the key member 13.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen the insertion resistance of a steel pipe pile by fixing a spiral wing over substantially one winding on the lower end of a steel pipe making the body of the pile, hanging a leading cylinder fixed on the inner periphery of the spiral wing and projected downward thereof, and projecting a plurailty of window holes and excavation plates on the peripheral wall of the leading cylinder. SOLUTION: When the steel pipe pile is pushed into ground while rotating it, the excavation plate 9 of the leading cylinder 7 excavates the ground. A part of soil and sand is made into flow to the leading cylinder 7 from the window hole 8, and the other part of soil and sand is moved to the lower face of an inner wing part 5b along the conical face of the leading cylinder 7. Next, the spiral wing 5 is cut into the outside ground of the leading cylinder 7, and screwed by the reaction force of the ground acting on the upper face of the spiral wing 5 to promote insertion. Soil and sand entering a gap 6b is consolidated on the peripheral ground while sliding on the upper face of the wing of spiral inclination. Lower side soil and sand and soil and sand excavated by the excavation plate 9 are made to flow in to be pumped into the steel pipe 1. Thus, the pile can be inserted and promoted only by rotating it by slight push pressure force, and can be buried without removing soil.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide steel-pipe piles such that one of the steel-pipe piles can be easily joined with the other of the steel-pipe piles by machining the pipe end of the one steel-pipe pile into a shape suited for junction by a simple method without using a joint pipe, the steel-pipe piles being low-cost and excellent in construction properties. SOLUTION: At the end of one steel-pipe pile 1, an increased-diameter pipe end is formed having an inside diameter which is greater by a size equal to a predetermined gap than the outside diameter of the other steel-pipe pile 2 increased in diameter by a diameter increasing device and joined to the end of the one steel-pipe pile 1, and the increased-diameter pipe end is thereafter fitted over the outer periphery of the pipe end of the other steel-pipe pile. The space between the inner surface of the end of the increased-diameter pipe end and the outer peripheral surface of the other steel-pipe pile 2 is sealed by an anti-wetting material 8, and an adhesive 5 is packed between the inner surface of the increased-diameter pipe end of the one steel-pipe pile 1 and the outer peripheral surface of the pipe end of the other steel-pipe pile 2 from the lower portion of the increased-diameter pipe end and is solidified to surely and easily join the one steel-pipe pile 1 with the other steel-pipe pile 2.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a columnar body such that a cylinder part and a shaft part disconnected from each other by preventing the end of the cylinder part and the end of the shaft part from being deformed even by a strong drawing force to the columnar body, and preventing a key member fitted into both inward and outward grooves from being disengaged. SOLUTION: Each columnar body is provide with the cylinder part 1 and the shaft part 2. The columnar bodies A1 and A2 adjoin each other in the direction of the axis X of each columnar body are so formed that the cylinder part 1 of one of the columnar bodies is freely engageable with the shaft part 2 of the other columnar body. A circumferentially extending inward groove 6 is formed in the inner peripheral surface part of the cylinder part 1 and a circumferentially extending outward groove 12 is formed in the outer peripheral surface part of the shaft part 2. The key member K is fitted into both the inward groove 6 and the outward groove 12 to provide each columnar body with a key connection R where the cylinder part 1 of one of the mated adjacent columnar bodies A1 and A2 is freely lockingly connectable with the shaft part 2 of the other of the columnar bodies. The key connection R is positioned on the line S of application of an axial force applied to the coupled adjacent columnar bodies A1 and A2 on vertical cross sections.

SOLUTION: At the end portion of an upper pile A1, a pin joint member 1 having an outer periphery as a joint surface is projected out, on the other hand, at the portion of a lower pile A2, a box joint member 2 for externally fitting to a pin joint portions 1, 2 is projected out. At the joint surfaces of both the joint portion 1, 2, outer and inner grooves 17, 27 are respectively provided by facing each other, a circular arc key 5 housed in the inner groove 27 of the box joint member 2 is galled with both the grooves 17, 27 by the operation of a set bolt 3, and both the joint members 1, 2 are coupled as one body. Also, a rotation-giving fittings 18 is projected out from the pin joint member 1, a rotation receiving fittings 29 is projected out from the box joint member 2, and when a pin joint member 1 is inserted and fitted to the box joint member 2, both the fittings 18, 29 are linked and both the upper and lower piles A1, A2 are connected together in a non-rotating manner.
