    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily maintain mutually drawing-near force of segments substantially constant even in the case that a deviation between a push-in direction of a backup material and a compression direction of the backup material body exists. SOLUTION: In the coupling backup material of the segments for a tunnel, a coupling tool 2 is pushed in from the longitudinal direction of the tunnel so that each coupling tool side fitting face is fitted to a corresponding segment side fitting face. When the segments are coupled while being drawn near in the circumferential direction of the tunnel, the backup material body 19 is compressed and deformed in the case that push-in force of the coupling tool exceeds prescribed magnitude. The mutually drawing-near force of the segments can be maintained substantially constant. When compression deformation is generated, an outer shape about the circumference of an axis X of the compression direction of the backup material body is formed so that an outer shape at an intermediate position in the compression direction is projected more radially outward than the outer shape on a compression directional end. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable speed increase and simplification of a coupling operation and, at the same time, to improve the earthquake resistance of a coupled part. SOLUTION: A first member A to be coupled and a second member B to be coupled can be coupled with each other by inserting a projection main body 3 provided for the first member A into a recession main body 4 provided for the second member A, and the fore end part of the projection main body 3 is formed so that the diameter thereof can be enlarged and that the shape thereof can be changed, while a diameter enlarging mechanism for enlarging the diameter of the fore end part of the projection main body 3 with the insertion of the projection main body 3 into the recession main body 4 is provided for both of the projection main body 3 and the recession main body 4. In the recession main body 4, a slip-off checking part 23 coming into contact with the projection main body 3 of which the diameter is enlarged and checking slip-off of this body 3 is formed. In a coupling device constructed in this way, a joint part J for fitting the projection main body 3 swingably to the first member A to be coupled is provided.

    • PURPOSE: To arrange a passage to freely supply fluid to a delivery passage in a propelling head main body so as to also serve as a supply passage of a driving fluid by communicating the passage and the delivery passage with each other on the basis of an advance and a retreat of a driving shaft. CONSTITUTION: A passage 4 to a delivery passage 3 is arranged in a head main body 1A so as to also serve as a supply passage 6 of a driving fluid. Therefore, the driving fluid can be effectively supplied to the front and the rear of a driving shaft 1B through its passage, and the driving shaft 1B is effectively advanced and retreated. A communicating part 5 is arranged is arranged in the head main body 1A and a guiding body 1D, and the driving shaft 1B is effectively advanced and retreated. and fluid for delivery is supplied to the delivery passage 3. Next, in order to effectively deliver its fluid from the tip of the guiding body 1D, a common supply passage is partially utilized. Therefore, a problem of a conventional space necessary when a passage for a driving fluid and a passage for fluid such as a lubricant are made mutually independent in a propelling head 1, can be solved.

    • PURPOSE: To draw a buried pipe smoothly into an underground pit by forming a storage section, in which a skid is stored, near the ground surface of a section, into which a propulsive body is inserted, while forming a recessed section holding the skid to the connecting section of the propulsive body and the buried pipe and supplying a clearance with the skid from the storage section and the recessed section. CONSTITUTION: A storage section 10, in which a skid K is stored freely, is shaped previously near the ground surface of a section, into which a propulsive body 6 is inserted. The propulsive body 6 and one end section of a buried pipe 3 reaching the site of a house 2 are connected by a connecting section with a recessed section 11, in which the skid K is held freely. The skid K is stored in the storage section 10, and a propulsive device 5 is driven in the opposite direction and pulled into an underground pit. The clearance between the underground pit and the buried pipe 3 is supplied with the skid K from the storage section 10 at that time. The clearance is also supplied with the skid K from the recessed section 11, in which the skid K is held, when the buried pipe is passed through the storage section 10. Accordingly, a supply path need not be formed previously to the inside or the peripheral section of the propulsive body 6, thus avoiding excess cost.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent increase of a load and rolling of a head main body for propulsion caused by receiving rotational resistance from an inwall of an underground hole at the time of rectilinear propagation-while being capable of compensating for shortage of steering capacity at the time of changing directions. CONSTITUTION:A head 1 for propulsion consisting of a head main body 1A for propulsion, a drive shaft 12 and a guiding body 3 is connected to a propulsive pipe 2, and an inclined pressure receiving surface F to direct the propulsive direction of the head 1 for propulsion to the direction receiving earth pressure is formed on the guiding body 3. The guiding body 3 is constituted of a guiding body main body 3A furnished with a first inclined pressure receiving surface F1, and a tongue piece type guiding body front part forming member 3B furnished with a second inclined pressure receiving surface F2 by dividing the inclined pressure receiving surface F in the front and rear directions. The guiding body front part forming member 3B is pivotally supported and connected on to the guiding body main body 3A free to oscillate in the back side direction of the second inclined pressure receiving surface F2, and the guiding body front part forming member 3B is formed free to push its head end part to the outward side in the diametrical direction rather than the outer peripheral part of the guiding body main body 3A in the oscillating state.
