    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and certainly attach a seal member to a peripheral groove on the inner ring side without reducing sealing performance. SOLUTION: This bearing unit comprises an outer ring 3, a rolling element 5, an inner ring 4, the peripheral groove 6 formed in the inner ring 4 axially outside an inner ring track surface 4a or the outer periphery of a member integrated with the inner ring, and a seal member 7 to be attached by engagement with the peripheral groove 6. A projecting part 11 in contact with the inner wall surface of the peripheral groove 6 by pressure is formed over the whole circumference of the seal member 7 on a side surface of an engagement base 9 of the seal member 7, and a receiving recessed part 12 for receiving the compressed and deformed projecting part 11 is formed on the outer diameter side of the projecting part 11. In engagement of the engagement base 9 into the peripheral groove 6, the projecting part 11 deforms so as to be folded into the outer diameter side and comes into the recessed part 12 lying on the outer diameter side.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable assembling of an outer ring without forming an entering groove on an aligning ring in a rolling bearing having an aligning ring which fits and supports a spherical part of the outer ring in an aligning manner by dividing the aligning ring into two along a plane perpendicular to an axis at its center portion in an axial direction. SOLUTION: In a rolling bearing A having an aligning ring, rollers 3 are arranged between an inner ring 1 and an outer ring 2, and a spherical part 21 of the outer ring 2 is fitted to an aligning ring 4. The aligning ring 4 has a spherical part 4a on its inner periphery 4a for supporting the outer ring 2 in an aligning manner under a state arranged inside a bearing box. The aligning ring 4, is divided into two along a plane perpendicular to an axis at a center portion in an axial direction. Cutouts 43 for application of knock pins are formed on outer peripheral side ends of a pair of circular members 41, 42 composing the aligning ring 4. Relative rotation of the outer ring 2 and the aligning ring 4 is regulated by means of the knock pins formed on specified portions on a circumference.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent roller bearings from being disassembled when a shaft and a roll are separated in a roll unit, enabling reutilization of the roller bearings. SOLUTION: In a roll unit 2 mounted with the roll 4 on an outer periphery of the shaft 3 via roller bearings 5, there are provided, raceway grooves for positioning and arranging in an axial direction 9 groups of double row rollers on peripheral surfaces of inner races 7 comprised in the roller bearings 5, peripheral grooves 8a between the 9 groups of the double row rollers on peripheral surfaces of outer races 8 composed in the roller bearings 5, and retaining rings 10 for restraining the inner races 7 and the 9 groups of the rollers from moving away from the peripheral grooves 8a to both sides of an axial direction. Each of the retaining rings 10 has an anastatic letter-like sectional shape and is provided with an annular projection 11 engaging with the peripheral groove 8a and with annular projecting portions 12, 13 projecting to the both sides of the axial direction to abut against the peripheral surface of the outer race 8.
