    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant torque spring clutch of high durability which involves less torque variation and is free of noise emission and inter-components wear even if its service frequency increases. SOLUTION: A constant torque spring clutch comprises a housing 1, a shaft part 4 supported rotatably in penetrating the housing 1, a wind-fast part 7c which is located inside the housing 1, whose two ends are locked in the specified positions of the housing 1, where the shaft part 4 is inserted, and which can wind fast the wound-fast part 4b of the shaft part 4, and a wind-attach part 7d which is wound so that tight attachment is generated with the wound-attach part 4a of the shaft part 4 at all times in such a way as adjoining to the wind- fast part 7c. A coil spring 7 is provided which generates a constant rotary torque between the housing 1 and shaft part 4 by allowing the wind-fast part 7c to wind fast the wound-fast part 4b when the housing 1 and shaft part 4 rotate in the specified directions relatively. The wound-fast part 4b of the shaft part 4 is given a smaller outside diameter than the outside diameter of the wound-attach part 4a.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bipolar synchronous motor, which can increase the rotation of a motor to the vicinity of synchronous rotation smoothly without generating one current in one direction stopping one rotation of the motor in a rectifying circuit at the time of starting rotation. SOLUTION: In a bipolar synchronous motor, which is drive by separating the connection to a rectifier circuit and switching the operation no the synchronous operation of an armature coil 1 by an AC power supply when the rotating speed of a permanent magnet rotor reaches the vicinity of the rotating speed of the synchronous operation, the above described rectifying circuit has the following parts. A commentator 4 has a moving ring 4b, which is coaxially attached to the above described permanent magnet rotor and rotated, and wherein the central angle is smaller than 180 deg.. Power feeding brushes 2a and 2b and 3a and 3b are arranged so as to face each other in circumferential direction for alternately feeding power so that any one is always in contact with the moving ring 4b. A-side receiving brushes 5 and 6a and 6b are arranged so as no face each other, so that any one is always in sliding contact with a coil segment A and the current is conducted to one coil segment A through a diode 8a, respectively. A B-side receiving brush 7 is provided in slidable contact with the moving ring 4b so as to conduct a coil segment B through a diode 8b.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous motor which is small in size, has a high efficiency and has a high versatility. SOLUTION: A synchronous motor has a rectifier which includes diodes which rectify an AC power supply 4 and switch the direction of a current alternately so as to actuate the rotation of a permanent magnet rotor in order to start the motor as a DC motor, a commutator and brushes. When the revolution of the permanent magnet rotor comes close to the revolution of the synchronous operation, the connection of the rectifier is cut off and the operation is switched to the synchronous operation. For that purpose, the commutator has a conductive sliding ring 2 which is attached coaxially to the rotor and rotates with the rotor and has a center angle approximately 180 deg.. The brushes are provided at two facing positions in the circumferential direction of the rotor. That is, feeding brushes (a) and (b) which are brought into sliding contacts with the sliding ring 2 to feed the current alternately and brushes (c1 and c2 ) and (d1 and d2 ) which are so provided as to face each other roughly and with which the sliding ring 2 is connected to coil segments A and B through the diodes 3a, 3b, 3c and 3d are provided.

    • PURPOSE:To attain smooth conversion from starting to synchronized operation of a synchronous motor by a method wherein widths and the setting angles in the circumferential direction of brushes, and the developing angle of a slip ring are made to have a fixed relation, and the rotating angle of a rotor to send an electric current to one side out of two coil segments is enlarged. CONSTITUTION:An armature coil 10 consisting of the two coil segments 10a, 10b is provided to a permanent magnet of four poles, while a converting circuit consisting of the slip ring 14 consisting of slip ring segments 14a, 14b, the brushes 12a-12d, and commutators 16a, 16b is provided. When starting operation is to be performed, an AC electric power source 18 applied with full-wave rectification is fed alternately to the respective coil segments 10a, 10b, and when synchronized operation is to be performed, the AC electric power source 18 is fed directly to the whole of the coils through switches 20a, 20b. The circumferential angles of the slip ring segments 14a, 14b are made as a little smaller than 180 deg., the brushes 12a, 12b are arranged approaching the brush 12c side, or width of the circular arc of the brush 12c is enlarged, and the rotating angle of the rotor to send the electric current to the coil segment 10a is made larger than the other side.

    • PURPOSE:To effectively and smoothly switch a synchronous motor by setting the number of turns of a coil so that a current converges to a coil, through which a current of the same phase as an AC power source flows when the starting operation is switched to the synchronous operation. CONSTITUTION:A slide ring 14 having split ring pieces 14a, 14b at 180 deg. of rotary angle is provided at a 4-pole permanent magnet rotor. The poles of a stationary armature which is energized via the segments 10a, 10b of an armature coil 10 is converted whenever the rotor rotates at 90 deg., thereby starting the rotor, and when the brushes 12a-12d are deenergized in the vicinity of the synchronous rotation, switches 10a, 10b are switched as broken lines, a power source 18 and the coil 10 form a circuit, thereby rotating as a synchronous motor. The number of turns of the segments 10 is reduced so as to obtain sufficient torque to switch between the starting operation and the synchronous operation, and the number of turns of the segments 10b is increased.

    • PURPOSE:To attain energy-saving of a motor by a method wherein AC electric power is limited to the prescribed quantity after the motor is changed over into synchronized operation. CONSTITUTION:When a current is supplied from a single phase AC electric power source to a brush 32a, the current flows from a slider 20a toward a slider 20b by action of a commutator 34, the rectified current passed through a brush 32b flows in a coil of stationary armature, and a permanent magnet rotor corresponding to the stationary armature is made to rotate. When the rotating speed of the rotor eaches the neighborhood of synchronization with the cycle of the AC electric power source, the slider 20 is thrust in the axial direction to short- circuit contacts of the brushes 32a, 32b, the AC current flows directly in the coil of stationary armature, and the motor is made to operate as a synchronous motor. Moreover in this condition, electric supply power from the AC power source is reduced by a resistor interposed between the contacts of the brushes 32a, 32b.
