    • PURPOSE:To control the time series information with low cost by storing the information on each unit time band in the order of the residual obtained by dividing the difference between the start time point of each time band and a reference time point by the unit time. CONSTITUTION:If a request is given to a computer system for reference to the information on a certain unit time, a central control unit 5 calculates the start time point of the reference unit time band from the information on the reference unit time band caused by a reference request given from an input/ output device 6. Then the unit 5 uses the residual obtained by dividing the difference between said start time point of the reference unit time band and the reference time point stored previously in a main memory by the unit time as the index value and reads the information on the corresponding unit time band out of a time series information memory 1 to send it to the device 6. In case a switch request generator 3 has a request to switch the time band for each unit time, the unit 5 uses the residual obtained by dividing the difference between the switch time point and the reference time point as the index value and performs the initialization for the information on the corresponding unit time band of the memory 1.

    • PURPOSE:To achieve economization without spoiling the advantage of a store and forward switching type facsimile communication system, by immediately transferring data without storing it when the free state of an incoming terminal is discriminated. CONSTITUTION:Picture information from an originating terminal FAXA is stored in a storing and converting device STOC only when the central processor CCO of a switchboard ES-FX judges that the standard CL1 of the originating terminal FAXA and the standard CL2 of a terminating terminal FAXB extracted from a subscriber file S are different from each other, or when the terminating terminal FAXB is in a busy state. When the standard CL1 and standard CL2 are coincident and the terminating terminal FAXB is in a free state, a picture signal is transferred immediately through an instantaneous circuit SIOT and never stored in the storing and converting device STOC.

    • PURPOSE:To effectively use a storage area by dividing the storage area for each of originating and terminating terminals and indicating correspondence relations by a bidirectional chain and storing a terminating terminal normalization number in each terminating terminal call information area to specify the terminating terminal. CONSTITUTION:A main call information area 1 provided for every call has an originating terminal call information area internally, and each of auxiliary call information areas 2-1-2-n has one terminating terminal call information area. The main call information area and auxiliary call information areas are related by bidirectional address linkage. The main call information area can connect plural auxiliary call information areas. Terminating terminal normalization numbers are stored in individual auxiliary call information areas for the purpose of distinguishing plural terminating terminal call information areas from one another. Terminating terminal normalization numbers are checked from the main call information area along the bidirectional address linkage to specify the auxiliary call information area where terminating terminal call information area to be retrieved is stored.
