    • PURPOSE:To permit to hold the stroke and period of reciprocating motion of a driving member of shape-memory alloy in constant by a method wherein the amount of conduction of electricity for the driving member of shape-memory alloy is changed in accordance with an ambient temperature to keep the temperature of the driving member constant. CONSTITUTION:A coil spring 20, as the driving member, is conducted and heated alternately by the output signals of a conduction and heating periods setting circuit to drive airflow direction panels 14. The amount of conduction of electricity for the coil spring 20 is reduced by reducing the duty ratio of said output signal when the ambient temperature of the coil spring 20 is high while the same amount is increased by increasing the duty ratio of said output signal when the ambient temperature is low on the contrary. According to this method, the temperature of the driving member may be kept constant in spite of the variation of the ambient temperature and the stroke as well as the period of the reciprocating motion of driving member may be maintained constant.

    • PURPOSE:To permit the smooth oscillation movement in an automatic wind- direction adjuster by controlling the oscillation movement by using a shape memory alloy means as the driving mechanism for a wind-direction plate by controlling the temperature by a conduction-heating means for the above-described shape memory alloy means. CONSTITUTION:A conduction-heating circuit 22 is used for controlling a coil spring 20 made of shape memory alloy as the driving mechanism for a wind-direction plate 14 in the opened port part 12 of a housing 10. Temperature control is performed by allowing the temperature rising time necessary for the temperature of the shape memory alloy means to rise to a prescribed value to nearly accord with the conduction-heating period and to be continuously varied by a conduction-heating period setting circuit 32, continuous conduction means 40, conduction-heating period varying means 28. Therefore, the operation noise of a motor, etc. is markedly reduced, and the temperature difference of the shape memory alloy means during the conduction time is averaged, and the smooth control for oscillation movement is permitted.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify an actuator control circuit, by using a pair of two terminal type change-over switches for each switch section, and by connecting a drive wiring cable and a light turn-on wiring cable to one side change-over terminals of the switches, respectively, so that both wiring cables are electrically independent from each other. CONSTITUTION:When a foot switch 10-4 is turned on, switch sections 14-4, 16-4 are turned into their change-over terminal sides (a), respectively, but switch sections 14, 16 for the remaining switches 10-2, 10-3, 10-5 are maintained to be connected to the other change-over terminal (b) sides so that they are turned off. With this arrangement, an actuator corresponding to the switch 10-4 is driven while a light turn-on wiring cable 200-4 is grounded so that an LED 18-4 is turned on. Simultaneously, a drive wiring cable 100 and a light turn-on wiring cable 200 connected to the remaining switches 10-2, 10-3, 10-5 are connected to the terminal (a) sides of the switch sections 14, 16 which are independent from each other, respectively, and therefore, both wiring cables are electrically insulated from each other. With this arrangement, no diode is required so that the arrangement of the entire circuit may be simplified.

    • PURPOSE:To permit smooth control in an automatic wind-direction adjuster by using a shape memory alloy means for the driving mechanism of a plurality of wind-direction plates and controlling oscillation movement by the conduction for the above-described shape memory alloy means through the position detection for the wind-direction plate. CONSTITUTION:A coil spring 20 made of shape memory alloy is used as the driving mechanism for a plurality of wind-direction plates 14 for controlling the wind direction, in the opened port part 12 of a housing 10. Said coil spring is conduction-heated in a prescribed cycle by a conduction-heating circuit 22, and a connecting plate 18 is put into reciprocative movement right and left, and the wind-direction plate 14 is oscillated around a supporting shaft 16. The oscillation angle is controlled at a certain angle by limit switches 26 and 28. Therefore, the operation noise of the driving mechanism is reduced, and the smooth oscillation movement is permitted.
