    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overhead welding method for manufacturing a welded joint free from weld defects such as dropping-down of a weld metal, slag inclusion and lack of penetration, in order to provide a building excellent in a seismic performance. SOLUTION: Firstly, a backing strip 4 is attached so that a curving surface positions from the back side of a root part of a column 3 and a lower flange 2a of a beam 2, and the recessed part of the root part is sealing-welded with an automatic welding equipment 1. Thereafter, the regular welding is performed. In the regular welding process, to the welding part except a starting and a completing treating portions of the welded joint, a gas shield arc welding is performed with CO2 gas in a torch angle at 5-20 deg. angle of sweep back to the welding direction in both of a going and a returning way. In such a case, as a welding material, a basic flux-cored wire having >=40 sec remelt-down time of deposited metal portion in the whole deposited metal joint, is used. Further, in the primary layer of the regular welding, the welding is performed under welding conditions (welding current, welding speed) set so that a theoretical throat depth after welding, falls within the range of 1.5-4.0 mm.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upward.standing posture welding method wherein an improvement of welding efficiency, a prevention of welding failure such as a bad fusion and the like, and simplification of a welding device can be achieved for welding the members in an upward welding posture, of a welding posture in which an upward posture and a standing posture are continued in arcuate, and each welding posture of the standing welding posture or each of welding posture is continued. SOLUTION: This method has process wherein as least an 'uranami' welding bead, namely a penetration bead, of a first layer is formed by a gas shield arc welding method, and then a process wherein a copper patch having a concave cross section is abutted.slid on a groove face against a remaining groove so as to carry out a gas shield arc welding under a condition that a contained volume of a dross producing agent in flux against the total weight of a welding wire is at wt.% between 0.3 and 1.0, flux weigh against the total weight of a welding wire is at wt.% between 15 and 20, and a welding current is between 180 and 330A.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the horizontal position MAG welding method capable of welding with high welding efficiently and low costs and obtaining an excellent bead appearance. SOLUTION: In a strap 4, a taper is provided in the corner part wherein the side surface of the welding progressive direction side and a lower plate come into contact and a recessed part is formed in the upper part facing a groove. This strap 4 is pressed to the upper end of the lower plate 2 so that the taper faces in the welding direction and arranged, a welding wire 5 is fed within the groove 3 from the top of the strap 4, and the strap 4 is slid in parallel along the welding direction as shown with an arrow to weld. At this time, the strap 4 is slid on the surface of the lower plate 2 in accordance with the welding progress while opening the upper half part of the side welding the groove. By this way, since welding is executed while the strap 4 always supports the molten pond, even though the upper half part of the side welding the groove is not covered with a copper plate or the like as the conventional way, the molten metal is prevented to overflow, whereby welding beads having the excellent appearance are obtained.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of welding defects as well as the deterioration of performance of a joint and to contrive the application to the welding of a sheet, in performing positive polarity arc welding using a small diameter self-shielded welding wire, by supplying a specific welding current, increasing/ decreasing/varying a wire feeding speed in accordance with a deviation value so as to eliminate a deviation between the detected value of a welding voltage and a set voltage value, and thereby maintaining a nearly constant arc length. SOLUTION: If a deviation between the detected value of a welding voltage and a set voltage is within the tolerance ΔE set in the range of ΔE=±0.5 to ±5.0(v), welding is performed with the welding voltage deviation regarded as zero; the arc length is thereby controlled, preventing instability of the arc. In addition, if the welding wire is short-circuited with a base stock, a short- circuit current is supplied in the range of 200 to 550A as the welding current, quickly eliminating the short-circuit state and stabilizing the generation of arc.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable welding with reduced generation of spatters by increasingly and decreasingly controlling both pulsed current period and pulse frequency, keeping an arc length nearly constant and thereby stably carrying out the transfer of one pulse one droplet without deviation from the area of droplet transfer. SOLUTION: With comparison made between the reference value and the detected value of an average welding current, and on the basis of its difference in the current, the reference value of the pulsed current period is corrected, and a pulsed current period for a change in the wire extension from the reference length is determined. In addition, a pulsed voltage set value is determined for a change of the wire extension from the reference length by correcting a pulsed voltage reference value. When the wire extends and the length changes from the reference length, a pulsed current that brings the correctively set pulsed voltage is supplied for the correctively set pulsed current period. Then, a base current period is determined so that the preset pulsed current value may coincide with the detected pulsed current value, thereby increasingly and decreasingly controlling the pulse frequency and maintaining a constant arc length.
